+44 was a pretty good band. They started off as (and were supposed to be) an electronica band, but as they progressed, they just changed over to rock. Originally, it was Hoppus, Barker, and Carol Heller. She left the band due to the direction they went in and also because she wanted to start a family. You can still hear some of her vocals on a couple of songs, most notably Make You Smile (my favorite song of theirs). Make You Smile will be on part 2 of your review. 155 was named so because the song is 155 beats per minute, I believe. I like Box Car way more than +44. Not to say that +44 is bad or anything, I just like BCR more. I do wish +44 had put out another album. They were supposed to begin work on a new album, but they kind of dragged their feet on it, doing different projects and whatnot, and then Barker was in that plane crash that essentially reunited blink. From there, they never looked back. On a side note, the new single for Angels & Airwaves is set to come out tomorrow (5/19), so it'd be cool to hear your review on that. I haven't heard it yet, but from the few people that have, it's supposed to sound like AVA meets BCR.

The electronic stuff was influenced by bands Mark was working with at the time. MH says Baby come on is the best he’s ever written…

Mark's a genuinely great songwriter when he's more serious, the problem is that's sadly not very often. Lillian and Adam's Song are the best he's done imo.

Even though I haven't got into much of Blink's earlier stuff yet, I see where you are coming from

Plus 44's name was inspired by the code to dial someone in the UK where Mark and Travis discussed the project. And whilst recording Neighborhoods Mark eventually moved to the UK for four years or so.

Listen to love pt 1 and 2 as two different albums (pt 2 starts with Saturday love). They were released at different times but for some reason are only available on iTunes together. They are very similar though. Can’t wait to see those reactions! They’re my fav angels and airwaves albums for sure.

Darling *thank you* for being nothing to do with fucking SAPPY DAPPY. This album hits Mr in the heart, I was going through a lot at the time and it was something to hang on to. Thank god for Mark's voice.

To me, this was the next logical step for Blink without Tom, and I think it's easily the best thing Mark has ever done. I wish he would've kept going in this direction. I don't think it compares to AVA, but that's another category entirely.

I wish you put the whole album in one video. Good video though

4 members in band, one of them - Craig Fairbaugh, he sang back vocals on an album and played guitar live. Mark was really inspired after blinks break up, you can hear he's hurt, confused, betrayed, just put Toms name in every song and it will make perfect sense. No it isn't is a good example.

Thanks for the info. Listening back on a couple in the first half it does make sense too.
