I really appreciate this! I have struggled to get the hang of fluid art. To be able to have success with something so simple would be wonderful! If you have other similar easy ideas, please share them! Thank you!

This looks nice, simple and fun with lots going on with not very many supplies. I can't do spray paint inside, but I'm still thinking about doing a single color-shift skewery thing on a dark base from this super cool idea

Hello Lisa !! 🤩 I love the sample that you show at the beggining of video. I see a "daulphin" 🐬 😃 with an eye. I really love this piece, it's easy and sooo pretty. It's like "de la broderie fine" Très chic. 👌💯💯❤❤ For me I use the pigment "colorart primary element" and I love it. It's the beautiful pigment sparkly but the cost is better for me. 🎉🎉 But I mix my pigment like you. 😉 Maybe one day I will try the little peggies. 😋❤❤

Pigment is the substance that colors paint medium. Dye is a liquid pigment usually but pigments can be synthetic like the ones that do the super shifting kind of like the stuck up piggies. They could be made out of mica they can be different micron sizes some will have micro glitter and others can be matte. Some pigments are even made and in fact the original oil paints that the Masters used were made out of pigments made from different gemstones and some other things there is even one's called mummy brown I think is the name of it which was at the beginning legit made out of mummy dust. You can actually use your eyeshadow as a pigment not necessarily for fluid art but eyeshadow is a powdered pigment with a small binder to keep it in its cake. Now Giant flakes would be a type of well flake glitter it's almost like a confetti almost but lighter glitter can be chunky all the way down to close to pigment size but they are different. The most important thing to get a smooth look with paint is the micron size The smaller that size the less flocculation you will get. If you haven't guessed I'm kind of obsessed when it comes to all things pigments. I have a collection of over 400 different pigments and maybe a hundred different glitters and flakes. Any paint that you get is a pigment mixed with a paint medium we're kind of doing the same thing but more fluid when we mix pigments with a pouring medium. Anyway the more you know and all that.

@@lisamarvinart The first pigments that well the first pigments I used was eyeshadow and then my mom gave me this whole set of pigment eyeshadow loose pigment eyeshadow because she knew that I could turn it into paint if I wanted to. She was an amazing artist and not only that she was a great art teacher arts activist and environmental activist. Those pigments a makeup brush set that I actually use for art were the last Christmas gifts that she gave me before she got hired to paint the sunsets here in Florida 10 years ago New Year's Eve. The first paints that got me into art were in fact the golden interference paints after my mom decided to make a life-size snow angel out of some White House paint and herself. She literally threw a few light colors in a bunch of White House paint got in a paint suit put a shower cap on and laid down in the paint and made a snow angel and then did the details with the interference paint back in like 1992ish. I paint in her art studio now in the house I grew up in and I am lucky enough to have her collection of epic art supplies! I think she would be impressed with my collection of pigments. Doing fluid art makes me feel closer to her. Thank you for your videos
