I was a loadmaster on C-130's, first with 41st ARRSq and and then with the 374TAW with PACAF, 776 TAS out of CCK AB taken during the Vietnam war and really enjoyed your tour and getting to see what and how the C-17 performs its many missions. Thank you airmen\airwomen for your service and thank you to all the crew chiefs and ground support troops that "Keep'em Flying"

Just sat down grabbed a beer , and was doing a little youtube surfing and this clip popped up , ive seen plenty of these jets fly out of Richmond Airbase near Sydney Australia and have always wondered what they were like inside and what they were capable of .Well this video answered every question , what a beast , i watched every minute and was mesmerised .Well done guys its always reassuring to have the US as our close allies and support everything you guys have done to keep the world safe , i have every respect for our own armed forces here in Australia and equally as much for your service as well .Stay safe

he said cruising speed 310 knot is wrong, I am sure he meant 410 knot, no jet cruising speed is below 500 mph.....
@c17nav3 жыл бұрын
He was correct, to a degree. Generally speaking, 310 knots Indicated Air Speed (KIAS) is used for climb until the aircraft reaches an altitude where 310 KIAS equals 0.74 Mach. At cruise altitudes, 0.74 Mach is maintained for a fuel efficient airspeed.
