Sir, what will be the strength of joint in 45deg. Splicing? Will it be more than 90deg or not.

It will be the same strength as a 90 degree with the added benefit of going around 25% smaller pulleys when compared to a 90 degree splice.

Is there a maximum belt tension and width that can be done with a 45deg splice?

Our highest rated standard bolt solid plate fastener is the 2-1/4 at 620 PIW, so that would be the maximum belt tension. Remember installing at a 45 degree doesn’t provide additional strength but allows less stress on the fasteners when going over the pulleys so we can decrease the minimum pulley size by 25% for the corresponding fastener installed at a 45 degree. As for maximum width there is no constraint as long as Flexco can supply a template for your belt width. We have ability to make templates up 96” and wider if needed.

All Flexco Mechanical Belt Fasteners work in conjunction with all parts of the conveyor system, such as rollers (pulleys), idlers, cleaners, trackers, slider beds and impact beds. The 45 degree splice helps the transition over the roller because the splice gradually flexes over the roller instead of all at once like a 90 degree splice.
