Sitting here now watching this video on my tv. The thing you said about not everyone having a Dollar Tree struck a chord with me. That is what I lije,about your videos. You do things that everyone can do. I don't have a Dollar Tree in my little town. Closest is an hour drive. I'm disabled now since Covid a year ago and came walk enough to go in store myself. My husband bless him does try to go in and find things for me in the town he works in so I get a few things along. My children do to if they are in a town that has one. I can take what they find me and things I have around the house and make things. I really enjoy the challenge especially if it is a trash to treasure. You are my kind of crafter. 💓

I am so glad that you copy text and pictures the "old fashioned" way (using carbon paper, etc.). These days it seems everyone has to have a Cricut (quite expensive, and, to me, not cost effective unless you make things in bulk). There is even a Cricut machine costing about $100+ for adhering images to blank coffee mugs. How many mugs, may I ask, does a person need? Anyway, just my rant, but again, thank you for showing a truly handmade way to do things!
@brandenharrison2952 жыл бұрын
Some use the mug press to make multiple mugs to sell at craft shows and things.

@melodymedlock1602 жыл бұрын
I have yet to see any projects that couldn’t be made without a Cricut. Most of the channels I watch give viewers w/o a cutting machine other options so they too can create the same projects. A lot of creators with Cricut or Silhouette Cutting Machines don’t have the other expensive Cricut products like the mug press, heat press or mini heat press and instead use an everyday iron. If none of the old schools transfer methods work for anyone there is stickers, stencils, water slide paper, Saran Wrap transfer method and I’m sure many others. There are so many good instructional videos here on KZbin. I think a project is only limited by your imagination. I would hate to hear any creator feel like they couldn’t create something just because they don’t have a machine either they can’t afford or feel like isn’t a good financial decision for them.

Loved the barn - I'm thinking it might be fun to add a teeny tiny hook to hold the wreath and then change it out to make it really seasonal for each season! How fun to try to come up with near tiny wreaths for each one - My first thought was tiny yellow beads for a lemon wreath for late spring summer - hearts for Valentine's fall leaves - I guess the little girl who used to live to make doll house decor is coming out in me! 😊

I'm 74 and raised in a small town in southwest Texas. Our local florist was a really cool guy and when I was 12 he'd let me hang out in his shop while my parents did their shopping. He taught me to make floral bows so I could help if he had a large order. Some of my best memories. 🎀🎄😁

Love your crafts and your calm voice. The floral bow is used with non-fraying polypropylene stiff ribbon, with wired fabric ribbon we pinch and twist to build bow then use a chenille stem to tighten down center so that we don't have fraying or cut the wires that make the ribbon hold shape, you can wind the bow the same if you want, just tighten down center to add tension so you can pull and twist using the wire.
