It's our first rally of the season and we're out at Abbey Hill Steam Rally in Yeovil.

28th-30th June Bloxham Steam Rally
13th-14th July Rona Rally
20th-21st July West Oxfordshite Steam Rally
26th-28th July Bocconoc Steam Rally, Cornwall
2nd-4th August South Cerney Vintage Extravaganza
16th-18th August Fairford Steam Rally
31st-1st Septemer North Cotswold Steam Rally, Northleach
21st-22nd September Stoke Prior Rally
28th-29th September Kettering Steam Rally
We may not get to all of them, but certainly expect to be at most if not all of the above.

@@SteamOTR totally agree i joined the regional steam club and earning my steam ticket plus at the last two big weekend shows i was allowed to drive n fire and somehow was allowed to drive one on the motorway

Another great video. I'm currently building a 6" Ransomes Compound but as a straight twin and a 6" Burrell Agricultural Traction Engine. I also own a nice 3" Fowler A7. Just a heads up with the background music, it's very loud and overbearing, I'd rather just hear you chat and listen to what is going on around you.

Have you tried banking the fire overnight? I’d be interested to see how that goes

Yes, but with no real success. The grate is relatively small, and needs a good clear out in the morning, so I've now settled on just accepting that I'm doing it from cold each day.

best practice to start the build up of steam slowly so everything can expand at a slow rate to make sure you don't get leaks from tubes etc. I cringed a bit as you didn't mention opening the drain cocks on first turn over to let any condensation out of the cylinders to avoid hydraulicking.

Truth be told, it was the second time, as I forgot to film the first. Drain cocks were open then, you're 100% right.
