It’s pretty cool, how you can monetize your endeavors-I’m not business savvy, so I just don’t think that way, but I don’t hate on it. I’ve been working for a year and a half to try to teach people that every single loose stone is actually and artifact- fashion by the ancient people. I learned how to see in North Carolina when they were destroying an indigenous mound, it’s not a fantastic story, because the entire town had to watch them destroy it.. but I’m trying to make something good come out of it. ❤

I'd seriously consider what someone else mentioned a couple videos ago - the pump you have in the mine is insufficient for the distance you need to lift the water up - Swapping the pump out for a piston pump (or, overhaul the one that's already in the mine - an engine rebuilder could probably do this work!) is going to be the cheapest (and most reliable) option for you right now, especially as there aren't many people living in Cerro Gordo

Unfortunately he don’t listen to what people say in the comments. A well pump is the best bet and a cheaper fix . Part of the problem is going to be is the water coming out of that mine is quite corrosive so no mater what pump you put down there it’s Only going to last so long !

Nobody has an idea of the science behind it, because there isn't any. There's no water dowsing theory, no scientific articles on that matter except for ones debunking it (and one that supposedly confirmed it, but then it got debunked in another paper that explained methodological errors that were made). Ask different dowsers how it works and you will get contradictory answers.
@unheilbargut7 ай бұрын
The only science behind this is social science that explore the reasons of why people scam others. Apart from the scam it is quite similar to the things, prospectors do. They look at maps and where water is around the area of interest, then they look at the location itself and try to find those areas where rain, melting snow and such could gather in the ground and point those areas out. While prospectors usually do not guarantee findings, will sample the area in question and maybe adapt their probing according to discovered changes in bedrock, quarz veins and so on, those water sniffeling rod wobblers usually claim some voodoo bullshit to explain away false promises of water findings. Any reason for „successful“ rod shakers are good observation skills, nice story telling and vague promises. They could as easily make a seance to speak with water ghosts, take mushrooms to fall in a water discovering trance, rotate a squirrel by its tail over their heads and then observe in what direction the squirrel runs afterwards or just ask magical sky fairies and other gods for h2o answers.

I was sceptical until I was shown how to do it - we were working in Jordan, our equipment never turned up to check the ground for buried objects where we needed to dig with back hoes (cables, pipes, concrete, large metal explody things (was a Jordanian Airfield that had been bombed by israel) Out of 10 of us three could actually find something - I had no idea what I was detecting all I knew was that at the back of my heels was something - so we would dig more coreful and with more than one banksman - freaked me out to start, the Jordanian Airforce we were working with thought it was witchcraft - I was using two bits of galvanised fence wire I straightened - since then I have used copper wire, welding rods, steel and aluminum round bar as well as many pieces of fence wire. I cant explain it, no idea what I am detecting just know that somehow it worked - when I came back to the UK we spent 20k trying to find a cable buried on the airfield - they could not, so I gave it a go and found it within 10 minutes, followed the whole length and even found it had a large coil buried at one point. Since then I have searched for and found buried drains, cables, water pipes - I cant explain it, just know I found them and left a few sceptics unable to explain how

Dowsing for water does not work the way the man in your video is showing. Liquids that are flowing underground produce a magnetic field that are parallel to their motion. Metal rods work like the needle on a compass and will try to align themselves with a magnetic field. A lot of underground water (aquifers) are like a slow moving river flowing along the bedrock toward the ocean. If there is enough water moving fast enough then dowsing rods will detect the flow.

As a science guy, I've always been skeptical, but slightly intrigued by dowsing. I gotta say though when he starts dowsing a piece of printer paper, my B.S. detector went off the charts!

5pm Dec 13 ,23 . I had the opportunity when I was a kid to watch a dowser find two wells, in Hemet ca. He was spot on . The wells are still producing.

Bravo, Brent! I'm so proud to have watched your first episodes of "Ghost Town Living" way back in 2020. I never stopped! Best channel on You Tube! It never gets old! Thanks so much for preserving history and taking us along for the ride. I WILL get to Cerro Gordo one day and visit. Congratulations on a great month and Merry Christmas!

I used dousing rods a bunch to find barried hydro lines, so I know it works . So, I bought a seven thousand electric dousing setup for minerals . I found gold on my property right where it told me and at the depth it was showing . It sends frequencies into the ground, and the machine can be tuned into the frequency you're looking for . It also can cancel out all but what your looking for . I live in Ontrio, Canada, just 45 minutes from downtown Toronto . My property is 5 hours north of Toronto . I would love to come and see your old mining town in person . Good luck. I love the videos you put out .

Brent, you should definitely consider using some of the reclaimed wood from Darwin for the siding on the American Hotel. It would be a great, and historically accurate way of recycling.

I went down the exact same process with finding water on my property, did a geoscience survey that wasn’t very conclusive. Was told to hire a water dowser who is supposed to be the best in the west. I guess he’s done over 12,000 wells in Nevada and California. He told us where to drill, that the bottom of well would be 431ft and we’d get 55 gal/minute (which is unprecedented in the valley I am in). We ended up drilling 820ft and not a drop of water. We abandoned that well and moved to the bottom of our property, my wife and I dowsed our own spot (which the rods definitely seemed to work on). The second well we hit water at 60ft and yield 25gpm. The unfortunate part is it’s a good 1500ft from our house. But overall I guess the takeaway is I’d find the lowest spot that’s practical to run pipe to, think any drainage that would hold water if there was a torrential downpour, then use the rods to hone in on where to drill. Unfortunately even with all the science and witchers available it’s still a bit of a shot in the dark. Good luck Brent!

In Australia, gold prospectors looked for vertical stratafication laced with quartz, and from there nearby searched for "deep leads" which is ancient defunct buried river beds that cut across the vertical strata and carved out gold bearing rock. They would generally begin with angled or horizontal strata and keep following along until it went vertical and bam there was the gold. Once they found that they would run it down like water table sorter thing below the crushers.

I love how the town progresses, well done! I haven't watched your videos for a long while and seeing the development is absolutely amazing! However, at the same time I cannot cope how could you fall for the person finding water by looking at a printed page of Google Maps satellite view.

I cannot cope with how people dance or paint by numbers, but someone thinks its music. Feelings are hard to calculate for some. There is a math to emotion, and emotion to math. Its not that difficult.

I can somehow believe in the craziness of using divining rods on site, but the trinkets over a google map print out says it's beyond snake oil. The guy has gotten rich from luck.

Well I finally made it to your mine today..it is an amazing place... The videos showing the road up to the mine do it no justice.... The video of heavy d hauling the water tank up made it look not that tough and then today 12/16/23..I was shocked to see the road in person and amazed they got it there... Any one that has even thought about visiting , it is a must do on the bucket list... Good luck on the water witching... It works.. my dad use to do that and he was always on the mark within 10 feet on the depth...I wish we could have spent more time there today

Brent, I think you should put your time capsule in the wall of your library behind a metal plaque with instructions on it when to open.
