Hi, Thank you so much for the information shared in the video. I have been admitted to CAED for its Bachelor of Architecture program. I wanted to ask if students (especially architecture students) have access to internship and job opportunities at and from Cal Poly. Also, I wanted to ask if the B arch curriculum at Cal Poly is more technical or design-focused, and is it a STEM-designated degree?

Hi!! The professors are awesome. Definitely make friends with them and they’ll help you out so much. Hanging out in the grc library is also a great way to meet people. I took so many naps in there! Attend career fairs even as a first year just to see what kind of jobs are in the industry and get an idea of what kind of internships you might want to apply for in the future. I got my current full time job at the fair!

Hi, I just got accepted to the school and am considering it for environmental sciences. However, I have a question... I am in a really serious relationship, have been dating him for 2.5 years, and am def going long distance. I am a California girl, and he is also from the state, so we will be max at 5 hours away. Do you think it will be too hard to do long distance? If I manage my time well? He plans to visit me often, which is normal because we have mostly done long-distance since sophomore year (seeing each other 1-2x every 2 weeks). I really do not want to break up, and I am also a bit older... arriving at 19 and turning 20 freshman year. Thank you!

assuming you want an answer from anyone since this is a public forum -- but sorry but i dont belive you can find your soul mate when you are a kid. you started a relationship at 17. still a kid. still learning who you really are or who you are going to become. even in college -- all the sudden there are *thousands* of new people and experience . enjoy *your* life in one of the most important times of your life. expand your horizons. Sure, plenty of people have long lasting relationships out of high school, but if you are already questioning it? If you didn't watch this while video, jump to the 53 minute mark and watch the rest.
