More like $1,600 -- but that's because the water,sewage,lights,internet,garbage,roads,schools,fire,hospitals,etc are all top-notch. Plus, NYC and it's government isn't complicit in the attempted annexation of Ukraine. That's worth at least $300.

@@yelowpunk There is a guy on the internet that goes to peoples apartments in New York to see how they adapt to paying outrageous rent prices there. There was no apartment that came close to this and most that was 1,600 was some tiny shoe box apartment next to a Auto Mechanic shop with constant noise and you could barely move in the apartment. An for the record, I really don't care for the war in Ukraine, and the US is complicit in other things like bombing other countries in the name of freedom or war on terror. That war in Ukraine has nothing to do with pushing Russia out, more like after the US left Afghanistan, they needed another cause to spend endless amounts of money on the military industrial complex. They are not even giving them the good stuff, decades old HIMARS systems and dated Javelin missiles from the 90's.

@@2ndtonone1000 I asked around for my kid because she wants to move and got three offers in the mid 1000's. Nothing in Manhattan obv. NYC ain't that inviting to tourists, but we'll take $4k a month from you.

For a Soviet apartment, it’s gorgeous. Well ahead of most others. However, compared to American standards, other than the view (which would be gorgeous anywhere), the apartment itself is tiny at best. Especially the kitchen area. Regardless, I could easily live in it, but only after getting ride of 9/10ths of my stuff. Otherwise, it would be packed to the ceiling in every single room, including where the toilet is. But am living in a house that’s much larger, even though my home is slightly small compared to most others here in the United States. Your apartment is actually about the perfect size for my needs, whereas, my home is much too large. I only use about 33% of the space I have in my home. When I feel like moving, I literally move my cloths into the other bedroom and call it a day.

@mudman6156
@mudman6156 Жыл бұрын
@@larapedan6541 I guess “cozy” means “tiny.” I happen to know that there’s neighborhoods going up around Moscow that have considerably larger American style homes. And by “American “, I also mean European. Along with Australian and many other countries that never went through communism. The communist didn’t do you any favors. Their “planned” economy forced nearly the entire population to live in what we called poverty. Russia and a few other communist block countries are the only area where people still live in what’s basically a shoebox. As tiny as they still are, your apartments are still quite large compared to the Stalin years, where entire families were expected to live in a single room as if space was at a premium in the largest country on the entire planet. Here in the United States I’m single and live in a 6 room, 1800 square foot house with a 1000 square foot screened in porch attached to the back and a 2 car garage attached to the front. I’m far from being rich. I also have a small front yard and a wildlife preserve right behind my home. I find it interesting that most Russians still live in small apartments in tall apartment complexes, all crowded in together in a relatively small land area. Here we’re spread out. While we certainly have tall buildings for housing, those are generally condominiums and are often very expensive. The inside of those are equal in size, if not even larger, than most single family homes. We also have plenty of apartments. They tend to be 1 to 3 story buildings with less than 100 units total. They’re slightly smaller than houses with the same number of rooms, and are a bit cheaper to live in, as people who live in apartments don’t have to pay to maintain them. That’s the responsibility of the owner. While I may not have your view, it’s just a ten minute walk to the beach. We also have a common neighborhood swimming pool, and a fishing pier out over the Intercoastal waterway. I’m in the state of Florida. Your apartment is one of the nicest that I’ve ever seen on KZbin. And your views are fantastic. But your entire apartment can fit on my back porch with room to spare. My view certainly isn’t as good as yours’ though. Love the view from your unit.
