KANELLA...I love this piece! Wowwwww. I'm being completely honest. I'm a hard critic...usually too honest. I'm with you on the "gold" thing but the silver in this one shocked me. I would love to see a color split with white and ocean colors. It looks like waves in most of your paintings. ❤️

It’s got the smokey effect that you were after and I quite like the different petals, it creates more definition. I like gold and I know you like its shimmer but sometimes a more subtle effect is just as good and it makes a nice change. Take care, be safe. 💕 Dorset, UK

I really like this color Palette! I'm a silver person and I really like this. I'm thinking of trying the "sage" one with an antique bronze instead of gold. I like the gold ok, but bronze would fit the room I want a painting for better. Thanks for sharing your experiments. It gives me all sorts of inspiration and ideas.

The dried results of the sage green split are absolutely gorgeous 😍. The Smokey blue one, I love the composition of the left hand side, the right seems a bit too solid but maybe it’ll grow on me. The silver suits the colour pallet better than gold, but know what you mean.

Kanella I love the colours. Love the slate blue base, love the pewter, love the silver, love everything about it. I like that it is demure yet rich. It is elegant. Enjoy the split bases and agree you can have so much fun exploring partnerships in base colour pairs. Look frwd to seeing what bold pairings you come up with! Yes Bordeaux w a sand beige pairing would be cool.

I too am a blue person so I love this but I would have put a plum color in and either the gold or a very pale yellow to get away from the monotone hues. I agree with you on needing more of the darker blue. All in all a very pretty picture! Don’t be so hard on yourself😁

You got to have like a Scarlet Red if you use that red for that dramatic effect maybe on a soft pink and cream back ground I might try those colors next weekend project 👍🏾

Love it! I started today and boy is it not as easy as you make it look! 😂 playing around just to get the hang of the dryer. I did the caput mortem tonight with gold and really messed it up! So much pink on the white base & I’m “muddying” them up too much still. Oh well! It’s how we learn!!! 😂

I actually love this palette, but if you’re not happy, you could have added some more of the paynes grey and atelier after the first blow out, just small amounts and used your mini blower, never be afraid to add paint afterwards, sometimes it totally makes a painting 🥰

Il love the base color . To my opinion , the other colors are very similar , it would need a color like gold or bronze to separate them. Follow your feelings , you Always did good choices 🥰

The blue/grey color you mixed reminds me of Pebeo’s Blue/Black..This is a beautiful painting but I am more drawn to the Sage Green🥰
