It is highly likely that there will be some water in the engine oil. Before starting the bike, it may well have been good to let the bike stand for 10-15 minutes for the oil to rise above the water (if any), then slightly loosen the oil sump plug (do not unscrew the sump plug completely). Once you see the water has come out, immediately screw the sump plug back in so not to lose too much oil.

The water enters the engine through the crankcase breather which is connected to the airbox. I was trying to be a hero like that once and drowned/flooded my Rally 300. The the crankcase filled with water, it took 3 oil changes to clear it out. Going this deep is not smart, hitting the starter after water ingestion is not smart. You and myself (while back) got lucky.

@@don_alex_97 I would think it could come in at the exhaust manifold..via an open valve. It did not look like the water line was above the air cleaner inlet but , yes, maybe the breather. Easily could have ruined the engine...

Take out the plug and air filter then rev the starter to take out any water that is in cylinder

Hi awesome job here in my opinion you were too slow main reason for being flooded tip stand up lean your body backwards lighten the front it will be safer cheers man enjoy

You need to know how high your air intake is. And when you do at the limit check the airbox first before you start again.
