Hey there! I'm hosting MAP again. But before I dive back into Rustclaw map, I want to host this idea first! When we discovered this song, I knew it would be a perfect fit. We quickly decided on Lizardstripe and Rainflower as our main characters. We took some time to decide on the third character, and ultimately chose Brightflower while also making some changes to fit the lyrics.

In this AU, except that Lizardstripe and Rainflower haven't changed much, Brightflower wants to gain reputation with her kits, and she chooses Yellowfang to fulfill her dream -becoming the leader. After Brightflower notices Yellowfang gets too close to Raggedpelt, who she thinks was the main rival, she does something so that Yellowfang becomes a medicine cat. If her dream cannot be fulfill, neither is the traitor's. Besides being a medicine cat can still gain some respect. Despite being a medicine cat, Yellowfang still giving birth to three kits, which Brightflower wanted to prevent, with two of them die and one of them ugly, Brightflower doesn't think too much. Then the kit keeps growing and finally sits on the position of deputy, then the leader. The anger and hatred fills Brightflower, the moment she knows her new litter of kits die, she exiles Yellowfang despite knowing who the true murderer is.

To be fair, almost everything that Rainflower sings fits Lizardstripe perfectly if you think about it a bit. :D She never wanted kids, she "borrowed" a kid, against her better judgment she fed him once or twice, etc.

Can I just say Lizardstripe's design is so amazing!! Rainflower and Brightflower's designs are already beautiful, but Lizardstripe actually has a lizard tail, and her eyeshadow looks like scales.

I don't think Brightflower was a bad mother. Definitely not the best, but not very bad. At least not like Rainflower and Lizardstripe edit: I realized that in aushka she is more bad and evil, please stop writing :_)

I don't understand what did she do wrong... I'd expect to see cats like Mapleshade, Bluefur, Yellowfang than just an average Shadowclan queen. Not in this map, cuz the vibe works the best with Lizardstripe, but as a point that there's nothing special in Brightflower.

@@Ebonyfire Brightflower accused Yellowfang, her own daughter, of killing her other kits. That’s pretty bad Also what did Bluefur do??

@@WeirdCatLover, well, she was shocked and was grieving. As long as we could see her she was really loving and proud when it came to her kits. It was just a hard time for her, that's it. Bluefur took her kits out of safe camp in LeafBare. Mosskit died, other two lived without knowing their real mother. Yes she did it for Thunderclan, but a person can be bad in one and great at another one. Bluefur was a real warrior, but her chose her clan in favour of her kits, anyway.

So, even though she was in grief, does that give her the right to accuse Yellowfang? The literal priest and her own daughter? No. It doesnt. Overall, she isn’t as bad as Rainflower but she is still very very bad. So you’re kinda right about that

@@WeirdCatLover , Brightflower never meant to hurt her daughter, it was a flash of fury a mother who lost her whole litter so terribly had. While Mapleshade was killing her victims in coldblood. These are different things, absolutely. Do you remember Brightflower ever mention that again? I do not. She wasn't the only one who feared Yellowfang killed these kits. It wasn't her who drove her away. She literally just swooped at her in madness. Yeah it was kinda weird to think Yellowfang would kill her own brother and sister, but again, Brokenstar tried his best to be convincing, and this queen's brain was too tired after torment of her kits ' escape and then death. If I was in this situation I probably wouldn't hold any grudge against my mother.

Yay, yay, yay! Finally someone did it! A MAP with Lizardstripe as a main character! It's first MAP. with her. It may be surprising, but Lizardstripe is my top 1 favorite character.

@@me-sg8og So, why I LOVE LIZARDSTRIPE: 1. She is unique. She hates kits and she is some sort of feminism she-cats. Her character is sharp and strong. I can see myself in her, because I hate children too and I pretend to behave and look like a male person often. 2. She is not that bad. Yeah, she likes to hurt others sometimes, she is a bit selfish and insolent. But she is a minor character, we know almost nothing about her, so we can't judge her confidently. I have a suspicion that Mudclaw made her pregnant by force. We see how she doesn't want kits and how angry she is when she is pregnant. And about Brokenkit... Imagine situation: You hate kids and don't want them. But somehow you become pregnant and have... not one, not two, but 3 kids! And then another stranger man comes and tells you to raise and feed one more kid. It's depressing! And she was alone in the nursery, so it was twice as much boring for Lizardstripe. Poor girl( But I love her for her personality on the first place. She is not the one n1, she is number 1 alongside with Bramblestar, Scourge, Yellowfang, Firestar
