Hang the magnetic make-up board like a regular picture instead of slanting it against a wall. I'd also try finding a sheet of plastic from the office supply store, maybe thick'ish presentation transparency that would still allow the metal to work with the magnet, to use instead of glass, then put it on top of the fabric instead of fabric alone. I'm sure that the fabric would quickly get make-up on it. I couldn't find anywhere to buy metal sheets, so I used strips of metal on the inside of the door on my vanity. However thinking about it now, I could have just bought a flat baking tray.
