Appreciate that, thank you. id be the first one to tell you that I really do not no as much as you may think. A lot of this is just figuring it out as I go. anyone can do all of this, if your healthy enough to walk through the woods than you can do it. the skills are easily learned

I'm doing the same thing in BC. Has taken me a long time to get the determination to do it but I'm set on finishing my cabin before winter so I can hopefully stay in it for a bit! Although I'm definitely having issues with a lot of the trees in the area being a little too big haha. Lots of hard work I must say so hats off to a fellow Cabin Canadian

I know it's an insane amount of work for such little payoff, but it was incredibly entertaining and there's nothing else like it. I used to build a lot with my hands until a motorcycle accident put me in a bed going on 6 years now. All I can say is wow about your videos and I'm impressed. A suggestions: if possible buy a large size Waterproof/snowproof Canvas Tarp the size of your cabib roof.. if 1 is not big.. buy 2... then remove the blue tarp and replace it with canvas..one on the other.. to extend its size... its easiy to maintain..all you need is some get some pine wax and a paintbrush and melt the wax on medium size pineapple tin and paste it with the paint brush on the canvas (when needed).

couldn't agree more. would lovee to have a nice piece of waxed canvas. one of my favourite materials, its just some damn expensive. the 20$ Canadian tire tarps do a decent job in the meantime. have you used a canvas tarp for cabin roof before?

Amazing Brother Watching you harvest the Partridge, preparing it & eating. Was it Wild Cranberries in the pot? Then seeing you look out at the beautiful night sky & stars. Amazing ❤🙏🏾🪶

Hi Skote, is this the Labrador trip, couple yrs ago. Nice job on your trapper tilt cabin even with the thieving fox. Tough as nails you! Like your videos, amazing stamina with the determination. Wondering the maker of the axe, good one for the tasks.

ehh Skote, good eye sir. that fox was almost the end of me I tell ya lol thank you man I appreciate that a lot. the axe is a Gransfors Bruk full length felling axe. that thing is a bush saber, cuts like butter and holds an edge well.

When using your lumber saw you should cut on the pullback, not when pushing forward, and you'll have a much easier time of it.

i noticed the footprint of the new cabin is much smaller then the last ? i see you doing it by hand instead of with the chain saw witch plays a factor, but i was wondering if the trees available in that area were possible shorter . i really admire the way u live off the land I’m 46 years old and i constantly feel sick and tired ni energy feel very ill all the time, if I felt better i’d definitely to live the way you do 👌🏻🙏🏻keep up good work ladd ☘️
