Nice build, this is my favorite year of Ford truck. I'm in the process of putting a 429 in my '78 Bronco.

That is great. I am in the middle of rust repair so i have not got to drive it yet. Plus doing upgrades like breaks and transmission.

Right on Art, awesome when a plan comes together.. Oh, greasy hands, I thought that was what the beard was for.. 😅 You know, I think I saw Earl doin a little jig when you weren't looking, but it was his toothless grin that got to me.. 👍👍

As a vet myself, it killed me to see a battered American flag in your past videos. So I appreciated you removing it (and assume it was properly disposed of). Aside from that, I like your videos showing all of the the issues that you come across in your attempts to put things back on the road or improve them. Its the ups and downs that we enjoy watching; Keep up the great work! Semper Fi.

Thank you! I've had that flag for such a long time, it seemed like such a shame to put it out 🤙

As a former marine, those worn and battered flags generally have a meaning to some us. I have the ones we flew in Hindu F.O.B and bearded devil sand box hanging my garage so as to never forget
@darreldwalton876310 ай бұрын
@VeteranIdiot Yeah, We flew one that the Son in law sent that flew over his hospital outside of Baghdad till it wasn't presentable. It's sealed up, and in the cedar chest with my 'stuff"

Putting a 460 in my 65 from a 70 MKIII I bought a few years back, what oil pan did you use, I know it needs to be rear sump but don't know if just any rear sump will work?
@VeteranRevivals4 ай бұрын
I kept the same pan from the motorhome, not sure if there are others that will work
@darksider19613 ай бұрын
@@VeteranRevivals Thanks for the reply, I have an 88 460 and the pan looks similar to the one you have, it came out of an f350 4wd, I'm thinking on giving it a try.

is it best to put heaver springs in the front wiith the bigger motor
@VeteranRevivals11 ай бұрын
I haven't had a chance to see if these springs are undersprung yet, but yes sometimes it's necessary.

Why did u buy the fancy shifter if you are useing the C6? I guess I assumed the shifter was for the NP435 4spd?
@VeteranRevivals11 ай бұрын
That Lokar shifter is designed to mimic the shape of the 435 shifter. So from inside the cab it will look like the original truck, but function as an automatic shifter.

Earl is looking good. Earlier this afternoon I was flipping through the interwebs looking for a shifter for my 57 Ford Custom with a 302 and an AOD tranny. Still can't decide on which of the many Lokar shifter options but I definitely know what you mean about the big $$ you paid!
