Good video 👍 With as rocky as that ground is you should have used the rock hammer 1st as a probe and as a pilot hole. When we used to auger holes for posts, we would go to depth then pivot forward and backward and side to side to broaden out the base of the hole so there would be a flair at the base for support. Good job 😊

The rocks we were hammering weren’t moving, each one was wayyy bigger than the hole and we only hammered through a section of them.

I'm going to be in a similar situation on my 30 acre property in SW MO. I will need to bore holes for a variety of reasons and there's a lot of rock close to the surface.. In my research for equipment, I found that they have auger bits made for boring into rock. Would this have not been a better option than the rock hammer??? Looking to learn why this may have not been a better option. Seems to me the rock hammer was better suited for breaking up the boulders.

Bartlett is one of our contractors we use at our municipal job. I started and worked at Bartlett for three years out of college in their original Stamford, CT office as did Chris, that’s where we met. Great company!

@@DudeRanchDIY Bartlett is definitely an awesome company to work for. Endless career path here. I will never leave unless my LLC takes off and I can’t keep up with scheduling but that’s not for a few more years anyways. Glad to randomly run into this on KZbin of all places 😂 how was the Stamford office? That’s where the Arboretum is, right?
@DudeRanchDIY

@@TStevens8296Nice they are a good company that provides proper education, unfortunately I left due to the lack of pay and needed more flexibility to do all this stuff. Stamford office was very busy, big office running 5 or 6 tree crews year round with several seasonal IPM techs as well. Yep arboretum is in Stamford, lots of training events there. Have you been to their research facility in NC?
