Our family took so many photos with relatives lined up on the sofa and somebody dressed up to go out standing at the front door. A lamp was usually in the photos too. Looking at these photos I guess we all did the same thing.

That was fun! What stood out for me was the stripes and patterns on the mens and boys shirts and pajamas. Looked very familiar to someone born in '61! In one photo we see a boy wearing a shirt with buttons only going about a third of the way down the front. I don't know why, but my mother used to call those "Wallace Beery shirts". Maybe they were popularized by that movie actor? The couple at 2:42 appear a second time at 6:41. Something about them makes me think they had just gotten engaged. Though she has a heavier build the lady at 1:52 reminds me a lot of the Joan Holloway character in the TV series "Mad Men". The picture of the lady reading the Nero Wolfe mystery paperback reminds of how in about 1975 a family member took a picture of me wearing my pajamas and reading a paperback copy of "Gone With the Wind"!

Picture a time when your life was influenced by friends and family and not social media. When you weren’t bombarded by continuous advertising and every aspect of your life wasn’t monetized and advertised to make a buck. When you could look up at night and see stars and constellations and not starlink and satellites codifying every moment of our existence. And a gallon of gas was 39 cents, but a good job payed $100 per week.

I'm wondering what the back story is for the two boys on twin beds with the lady drinking a glass of Schlitz beer @ 2:34 ? Mom relaxing on a vacation with family perhaps?

The boy was given the beer by his mother. His mom is attempting to seduce him. Sick picture. Should be removed.

The photos all looked 1950s to me. But you have to realize the '50s lasted for nearly 20 years; from the Japanese surrender 15 Sept 1945 until Bloody Sunday 7 March 1965.

I didn’t even think about the decor back then but it was so much better than what we have now.Furniture was built to last, not cheap garbage that we throw away. As in any time period some of the decor was not that desirable but many aspects were extremely gorgeous and unique. I wish I could have those back. They had flair and style.

Most people couldn't afford much. Also decorating wasn't a big priority. Family, vacations, saving money for college. Those were bigger priorities.

You wrote "at Homes"...you probably meant "Capture People at Home". Homes is the plural of Home, but is not used in this particular sentence. I think perhaps whoever made this video does not use English as their first language. :)
