47 million Shillings can now get you a one bedroomed self contained house and a condominium title in the posh neighbourhood of Nalya estates.
While commissioning one bedroomed self contained Housing units worth 47 million shillings each in Nalya estates today, the director housing, National housing and Urban development noted that such developments should help stem the sprawling slums and tackle over pricing of properties.
Kalibala also says a procurement process is already underway for a low cost housing project in Bukelele seeking investors for the construction of units targeting low income earners.
The first phase for the development of a 300 acre piece of land will house between 500 and 3000 units, the project is estimated to cost 80 million US dollars.
