I love these particular sedum varieties. Thanks for sharing. Yours are beautiful. They are so finicky and tedious but really cute and fun to grow. Hi to your daughter lol

I'm so disappointed that mine died on me. I repotted and it went to poop on me because a frog got to it. I really need to get another one because I would love this apart of my collection. Both the major and minor (I had the minor) You have such beauties there. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It's gorgeous!

Hi guys! Have you ever tried repotting and separating very small delicate succulents? Here's a helpful video on the difference between SEDUM DASYPHYLLUM MINOR and MAJOR and how to pot these delicate succulents with minimal leaf loss and caretips to keep making more and keeping them healthy. Have a wonderful day plant buddies! 💜

I have a very healthy Sedum D Minor but it's just blue/green. I've seen so many with the pinks and purples but mine won't stress! I live in a 9B zone, keep it outside under my porch but gets 4-5 hours of direct morning sun. Any thoughts to get it to change colors to pinks/purples?
@TheseSucculentBuddies3 жыл бұрын
More sun would bring out those stress colors. Also extreme changes in weather, like hot days and cool nights. Dont give them too much water. Mine only get watered about once a month if I remember. 😅

Yes, I didn't know fallen leaves of this plant can propagate and to my surprise, the fallen leaves did start to grow new babies for me a few weeks after repotting. Thank you for dropping by to visit! 😊

I dropped a few of the leaves from the major and minor into a crack in my garden wall. A year later they have grown and flower in the summer.

My sedum major has stems hanging out of its pot and aerial roots. Would it be time to repot it?
@TheseSucculentBuddies3 жыл бұрын
It's a good time to re-pot but it's too hot, wait till it gets a bit cooler. Just so they don't have too of a time recovering. 😊
@lisa-mariesavard46763 жыл бұрын
@@TheseSucculentBuddies Thank you! It's summer where I live and the average temperature is around 25°C. Should I wait until fall to repot it? Also, does the pot size matter with sedum major?
@TheseSucculentBuddies3 жыл бұрын
I would wait till it gets cooler. They tend to dry out quickly when newly repotted and may just wilt away at the temperature. As far as pot size, the best way to to go is 2-3 inches wider than the last. You don't want to go too big because it could stunt the growth or may even cause you to overwater because the soil won't dry out as fast.

No need air dry si sedum minor. Pwede na agad tanim sa dry soil. Water after 4-5 days ng konti, enough to we the roots. 😊
