Awesome little tractors! Mine is int he shop, a little issue with the backhoe controls but my dealer is awesome. He’ll have her fixed up shortly.

Thanks Eric, Sorry to hear about your Massey. Mine's heading for the shop real soon. I wish you the best with your tractor.

Just took mine in shop Tuesday and got her back next day (Wednesday), so just finished making first lawn cut for 2018. Bought new blades and cuts like a diamond. (3 blades cost $124). One of the mower blade nuts was difficult to get off but squirted penetrating oil and used impact wrench. She's off. I let dealer do this service. I was going to the service myself but went over to neighbor's goat farm instead. I'll do the next service myself and save money.
@LouisianaTractorworks6 жыл бұрын
I would let my dealer do the service on mine but they don't do a 50 hour service. lol From what I've seen they do cut great.

Yard maintenance never ends. The bigger the property the more work it is. Hey my wife is a stihl salesman lol she said she can hook you up with a good saw lol jk. Thanks for the video John.

LOL! Thanks William, tell your wife "Thank You". Stihl makes some good stuff, but I've owned a couple and Well I've owned! a couple. LOL that Husqvarna 570 runs that 20"in. bar and a 54"in. bar and you will never feel the difference. It runs like new and it is 13 years and 3 hurricanes old. LOL

Good video. You have a really nice land! I don't have a backhoe... One day or the other, I'll get one! Especially because I see how easy your clearing was with it! Thanks!

Thanks Joe, They are nice and there is a lot of things you can do with them, But I have done a good bit of stuff with just the FEL.

Also glad you got the wife on the tractor ,My wife was one of the main reasons that i got the Size Massey that i got i wanted something easy to operate and learn but one that she would also feel comfortable on and that she would jump on and work it if she wanted to do something with it and i was busy .Tell her that she did a great job and that we want to see her working on it more that shows women that the tractor isn't just for guys and that they can have just as much fun on a tractor as the guys.

Woooo buddy, that thumb is doing the trick. Good move putting counter-weight in bucket. That BH and thumb made short work of those stumps. Wanted to see the BXpander thumb in action. Hey, I see Mamma knows how to fling that bucket pretty dang good herself! Thanks for making this video.

Thanks Don, We had some fun. I'm trying to get her to learn everything about the Massey and she is doing really well. lol

Good day LA! Looks like you are getting a lot of chores done. Smart thinking to put extra weight in the front before lifting those big blocks. :) Looking forward to seeing the new thumb. Cheers and have a great week!

Thanks Lod, Yes sir it does. Saves your back as well. lol

I just use the loader bucket to move things that are already loose, much more efficient than a backhoe with thumb. It is always great fun working with a subcompact tractor.
@LouisianaTractorworks6 жыл бұрын
I was using the thumb just to see how well it can pick up stuff and some of the pieces was way to big and heavy to get in the FEL. These little tractors are a blast to do all kinds of projects with. Thanks Mitch for watching and commenting!

That thumb is pretty awesome. You're making me wish I would've gotten the backhoe also!
@LouisianaTractorworks6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Diamond B, there is so much you can do with a BH on your tractor, but I have been able to do a heck of a lot with just my FEL, and with some add ons. Man! Do they make a difference

Yeh, that's great work with the pick & carry...those thumbs seem so handy. You know, I do wonder about a mini-grapple mounted on the bh instead of a bucket. Never seen that on a tractor yet, but why not for light stuff like brush?
@LouisianaTractorworks5 жыл бұрын
Thank you G.V, for watching and the comment! The mini-grapple sounds like a great idea!! I've never seen one either! I would work the crud out of something like that! lol Have a good one!!

Looks like a job for a grapple on the front. Though using the backhow to break it down would be 1st
@LouisianaTractorworks6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Don, A grapple would be nice but for my tractor there is only one that will fit it and it is pricey. The thumb is a lot more affordable.
@jerryvess24936 жыл бұрын
Nice job that thumb works great but man i can't wait to see the new one with how it fits i saw where Teddy Bear had to modify his factory thumb he did a great job but i'm hoping that the new bx expanded thumb bolts on great and works really well because that's the way that i'm leaning as of right now but we will know more once you get it and get to try it out but the one that you have now is nice and would do what i want it to and more tks. for posting .

Thanks Jerry, I jumped the breaking news video ahead of this one. After working this one I'm so excited to try the new one. I did have some concerns about this one so I hope there want be anything with the new one.

I always wonder why BXpanded over complicated that device by making it clamp over the boom arm. The factory already has mount locations on the boom to pin a thumb in place.

Thanks Stanley, There's only one grapple that will fit my tractor and it is pretty pricey. I used the opportunity to test and play with the thumb. Thanks for the questions.
