When we’re abroad I never shop much except at places like museum shops where I can get small things to tuck into my suitcase, and I never shop at stores I can go to back home, but that’s just me. We’ve also found the best food is found at local places that are off the tourist track. We ask concierges and cabbies, or just duck into cafes or pubs we find while we’re walking. We found our favorite pub ever that way in Edinburgh - we heard people inside cheering about a football match, and when we peeked in, everyone was eating - always a good sign. It was our very best decision - we even learned the basics of cricket from a gentleman at the next table during one of our lunches there. I’m glad you enjoyed your short trip to London. As far as video-ing constantly, that’s definitely not my thing and I do find it intrusive when I’m minding my own business and someone is videoing. I’ve asked people to stop videoing when I’ve seen them randomly videoing and I’m going to be in their video even for a very short time without asking my permission. I watch some other people’s videos, but I draw the line at being in them.

The best for exfoliating is baking soda in the shower. I have used it for years. Just put it in a cute container. I use a silicone travel bottle for mine!! I also clean my bathroom with baking soda. No chemicals!!

I’ve never been to the London although we had planned to on our Europe trip but never got there in the end. My husband has some family there. Loving vicariously through your videos as my budget doesn’t allow for overseas travel. I’m glad I got to travel a bit in my 20s.

How lovely to see you in my home town! The weather in London looked like it behaved itself while you were there because our summer this year has been so terrible!!! You picked a great Hotel, hope you enjoyed Harrods, it is my favourite shop and I visit regularly. Wow! Tea at the Ritz now that's a treat! Belgravia is one of the most expensive areas in London, Joan Collins has a home there. I'm not sure about Londoners getting mad if you are videoing as I don't really do that I haven't experienced it but I can imagine that some people might not like it very much. Really hope you enjoyed your time in London, it is the best city in the world, but I'm bound to say that, I live there. x

So lovely to see you and Jessica in my home country. You both looked amazing. I am so pleased you had fun. London is one of my favourite places in the world. I don't think London is unique in the odd person getting funny about being filmed. I follow loads of KZbinrs and have seen a few incidents live where they've been confronted by irate people who don't want to be on film. Most were filming in the US. I think it's probably down to the individual. Don't let it put you off. Not everyone is mean and at the end of the day, there is nothing they can do about it. You just keep being you!

Also I think the Brits are a little reserved so not so comfortable with cameras around. Also I heard using phones at the Ritz was a no no, when my son went he was told people just keep them in their pockets there. Anyway I’m glad you managed to film 😉 Really glad you enjoyed your visit. So nice! I haven't been in London in a while. I used to live nearby and I love that city. Here in Europe privacy is still valued quite a lot by many. I would not like to have a video taken with me in it (I am italian) and I am often uncomfortable seeing videos in public places that so clearly show other people (I don't mean in passing, like people sitting at a table with somebody or something like that). It makes me uncomfortable to watch, imagine being in it. :)
