I feel like I always hear people tell me not to set the hook float fishing for salmon or steelhead. Yet Kyle sets that hook like he is on the deck of a bass boat and he easily has the best hook to land ratio of any salmon fisherman I have ever seen

This is so awesome Kyle pure entertainment ! Your editing skills combined with your abilities as an angler make your channel so unique and fun to watch keep the videos coming I also had a question about your pin setup I am going up to Michigan from Ohio next week for a trip I had planned was wondering what leader you ran for the pin setup ? Aswell as have you ever had any success fishing flies under afloat for them? I will be fishing a fly only section so I won’t be able to bait w Skein thanks any pointers are appreciated !

Great flick. Diffently lots of horsepower goes along with them shoulders on them fish. I like how ya said it ( it's hit or miss fishing) people need to understand that. Lots of time on the water teaches ya ,that some days are better than others. Fish on

Are Michigan salmon (chinook/coho) easier to hook over there compared to the pnw? It seems like the systems over there are smaller but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re easier to hook up on. Genuinely curious.
@dylanfisher845 Жыл бұрын
Locating there is easier just in general when it comes to the rivers it seems, my question is how the overall bite is comparatively. Figured you would know. The methods here are just about the same.

Quick center pin question instead of buying a center pin rod could I use a spinning rod instead?

Once they come into the river, they quit eating. I can't figure out how your catching them. Over the years we have tried everything. Most people we see catching them are snagging them.
@brettsadler1262 жыл бұрын
Not true at all. hooked 30+ fish this passed weekend and landed 3 monsters. All eating bags like crazy.
@bryanmallison39672 жыл бұрын
They aren’t eating, they’re biting out of aggression. They won’t even bite if they’ve been in the river for a while or have had lines raked across them for days on end. But they do bite. Skein, thundersticks and spinners are what I have with me at all times.
