48 Hours at Disneyland | We're so glad we knew THIS 🐭 ✨

1. If you can, stay on resort in 1 of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotels. We stayed at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. While it is PRICEY, we didn't have to pay for parking or pay for a rental car. You also get EARLY entry to the parks!! Make sure you check dates because now they alternate early entry between Disneyland and DCA. We got 30 mins early entry and did 4 rides/attractions BEFORE the park even opened!!
***On that note, whether you have early entry or not, line up for SECURITY an hour before. The security lines opened at 7:30 and we lined up at 6:30. You have to go through the security lines FIRST before you reach the ticket entry gates.
We did this:
6:30 wait at security
7:30 through security and straight to ticket entry gates for park
7:45 standing at rope drop spot for early entry (hotel guests) to start speed walking to first attraction at 8am rope drop
2. Genie + : We purchased Genie + (now called Lightning Lane MultiPass) for both parks and it was so worth it for us. Not only do you get Lightning Lane access, you get all professional photos straight to your Disneyland App! We have photos from Minnie's House, Goofy's Kitchen, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Main Street USA and more. All High Res and all included in the price of paying for Genie +
We found Lightning Lane to be so so worth it!! Our daughter LOVED Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and we did it 4 times with minimal wait times because of Genie +
3. Download the Disneyland App AHEAD of your trip! Get familiar with wait times for your top attractions. Look at food options that interest you.
4. Watch KZbin Videos about the parks and help familiarize yourself! Trust me, the true magic is experienced when you are in the parks. These videos will help you get familiar and understand what is going on to maximize your time in the parks.
