The Palace of the Parliament doesn't have any north korean influence, it's a neoclassical style building with many collumns and detailed façades, the interiors are amazing, Ceausescu was inspired by the size of the buildings in NK and wanted to do the same in the Civic center of Bucharest. Hope you enjoyed your trip!

I was blown away by the AFI Cotroceni mall as well the first time I went there, world class. For me one thing I love about Bucharest and most cities in Romania, are the parks, they are everywhere and always immaculate, cleaned regularly, loads of benches to just relax on, full of small kiosks and most in Bucharest have free WiFi provided by the local sector municipality. Herastrau or Regele Mihai I is a great place to go chill on a nice day and walking from one side to the other is a good way to spend a few hours. As for the Parliament Palace building, its pretty awesome sight, I get to see it every night and morning from my apartment and never get tired of it.

I think the reason they have cats in the Village Museum is to control the possible mice population. The cats have shelter and there will be no mice to damage around.
