And pita well done to become crispy on the edges. Fries tend to suck all the juices of the meat, tzatziki and tomato. And always tzatziki, because in Crete the default is yoghurt, which I don't prefer!

The best thing Crete can do is become autonomous (self-governing; independent; subject to its own laws only) and break away from mainland Greece and show them how things are done.

creta is one of the few places that keep the standards high...they not see u as wallets but as a priceless guest...amazing food...the only thing i dont like there is that u must drink raki or tsikoydia all the time..and i dont like the taste lol..

Yeah it's honestly my favourite place in Europe so far. People are so genuinely friendly and the food is next level! Couldn't refuse the raki because of the hospitality they showed us, but yeah the taste is not everyone's favourite 😅
