Turkey is having a horrible economic crisis. Inflation is sky-high (70+%). Many people cant afford daily necessities anymore. Average salary in istanbul is just 9160 lira (630 USD). It is super hard for people to live there

I’m gearing up for an epic backpacking journey through Thailand and Vietnam, ready to sleep in my tent and cozy sleeping bag under the stars. Over two months, I’m keeping it budget-friendly with $3 street food and $2 rides, plus a $15 SIM for all the TikTok and Insta updates. My flights are set at $420, and I’ve got visas for $50 each. With no accommodation costs, my total trip budget hits just $850. I can’t wait to dive into vibrant street markets and stunning landscapes, fully embracing this Skibidi adventure!

Dude, as a Turkish, first time I really liked Istanbul vlog. I haven't been in Istanbul for a years and have no idea about prices, but 10 euro for bread on ferry and 120 for a piece of baklava at the last place seemed a lot. I know that some touristic places have 2 menus, one for locals and one for foreigners, maybe that's why :D Or just its normal Istanbul price, no idea.
