I went there last summer, during the lockdown, when people could move only inside their region (I live in Veneto region, so I could move to Venice). No tourists, no other Italians...it was magic✨

I’m so excited for your trip! My one tip would be to try to avoid where crowds go and just get lost. There are a lot of alleys and small streets you can wander around. There are so many tourists that visit Venice and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I woke up early on one of the days I was there and I just walked around with no people out and enjoyed it very much :)

I used credit card at 90% of places but would always recommend a little bit of cash! How much cash would depend on your spending habits, and I’d say for me I’d bring 50-60 euro or so
