I have the same issue with my labels. If you spray them with modge podge they become waterproof! I also just changed my product labels but I'm spraying the products I have already made because $ lol. Hth some one!

As a sustainable business, what do you do with the excess wooden wick? Is there a sustainable way to dispose it ?

Hey! I actually get wicks that are too long for my candles, and when I cut off the excess, I use that extra piece for shorter candles! So none of it gets thrown away (unless if I need to snip off a really small piece for some reason).

And I only really use wooden wicks which are biodegradable!

definitely. I feel more comfortable making things that I've practiced making for years. I don't have the muscle memory to make pouches yet so it takes a lot of concentration lol.
