Great video bro!! I was out on Sunday and found a deep hole full of flattys most around 20cm Got 13 over 30 worth keeping, but it was 3 hrs of drop down double hook up and bring ‘em in had to stop cos I was getting tired 😂

Great info champ a good question to ask would have been how does the early season rain events affect the fishing and what do they do when we get hit by big bits of rain that flushes alot of fresh water into the bay

I like to have a bit of rain early season , but not to much , i think it helps but im just guessing

Talking with my dad about the changes over the last 60 years in PPB with very similar experiences. They used to be able to go out and fill the boat full of fish. In his old age, he feels back for taking large amounts of big fish that were breeding stock of the future. Now that the netters have been banned since 2022 our fishing will only get better. It takes ~3 years for a fish to get to 28cm size. As for the size limits samller fish does not effect rhe breeding stock as much as large fish hence for the allowance of 3 over 40cm. I think they should put a max size for a few years around 80cm to make it a 'slot' fish. Then our big breeders have a chance to spawn and fishing will be the best its ever been attracting more people to try it. If yoy fillet a 28cm snapper thats silly, cook it whole the meat will fall off the bones when done right and there is very little waste. My issue with charter boats they drive around like they own the water. They drive right up to you, drift so close or push up huge bow waves. Some have no sense for safety around smaller boats.

Bloody oath they should raise the size limit 27cm for whiting & 28 for snapper is way to small . Let them spawn more before we are allowed to take them will only add up to a better fishery.

7&8 kgs isn't big mate. I got a 12.6kg off Seaford in '98, and a 13.4kg off Ricketts Point after the fake flu pandemic.
