Stage 3 usually assumes an aftermarket turbo. This must be a regular stage 1 for 420-430hp. Has to be a mistake. Then the acceleration figures will make sense. If this was a stage 3, it would be running 100-200 kmh in the 5-6s range.

Not entirely convinced this 140 has 480hp and 700nm. Mine has 418hp and 596nm dyno’d and have managed a 100-200kmh time of 8.26. Yes the conditions maybe a little worse here and this has X-Drive which will have more drivetrain loss but still seems very slow compared.

Think it's more like 450/460 range, even with xdrive.. Still , a 6,6 100-200 must be a "stage 3 " setup with at least 550hp. A strong stage 2+ m240i with all bolt ons except a hybrid/big turbo with rwd will do 7seconds flat at it's max. Or it's really running unsafe for a stock turbo..

It'll be a little crisper in comfort, but really shifts fast and hard when in sport+ with the shift lever over in sport mode. It also increases line pressures in the trans helping the weak 3rd/6th gear clutch packs when the car is tuned.

@@papa_pt Then I suggest you go do more research because you clearly have not. Toyota's partnership (2012) with BMW precedes the creation and release date of the B58 (2015). The Supra's chief engineer has stated in an interview that they took apart the B58 to inspect every nut and bolt to see if it will meet Toyota's stringent quality control. They would send thousands of parts back to Japan for inspection. This is a direct quote from the agreement: "BMW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) are pursuing their successful strategic long-term cooperation in the field of sustainable mobility today by signing binding agreements aimed at long-term collaboration between the two companies for the joint development of a fuel cell system, joint development of architecture and components for a sports vehicle, and joint research and development of lightweight technologies. These agreements follow a memorandum of understanding signed in June 2012." The B58 is BMW's first closed deck inline 6 turbo engine. Guess who has decades experience of building closed deck inline 6 engines.

If you've ever worked on a 1JZ you would know this. Yamaha's contribution to the 1JZ is only the heads, the rest is Toyota. It's why you will see "yamaha" branding on the 1JZ valve cover and Toyota branding for the rest. Also this only applied to the first gen twin turbo 1JZ's. Second gen 1JZ received single turbo + VVT-i and Toyota "BEAMS" head.

Meanwhile BMW is barley above industry average. Toyota has a lot to lose by putting a BMW engine in their product so that made sure it passed their quality control. But you're free to think otherwise. That's how a partnership works, Toyota got to have a Supra and BMW learned from Toyota how to build quality stuff.
