Thanks Jeff - it is good to be back - I love it here. I am much more comfortable up here in the wilderness than in Maryland near Washington, DC. The trip back here was pretty good - long day from Maryland to Denver, then a great day with my boy and a great dinner together, than a tough day from Denver to Wyoming. Can't complain - crossing 2,000 miles across the US in the dead of winter is going to throw me some curve balls. Slow and steady is the way to get it done this time of year for sure.

Safe journey Dave, such an epic drive! When you think of the pioneers heading west, taking weeks and months, not knowing what they'd face, makes you think how hard they had it. I got some St Bruno ready rub after your video, I really liked it, cheers for the heads up on it. Excited for the Wyoming vids. Drive safe and take care, Geoff 🖖

@ Hey, Dave - thanks for the reply! Had to move to CO. My husband had a catastrophic brain injury which left him severely disabled, and I needed more family support as I am his 24/7 caregiver now. Been 12 years now. I read the WY newspaper every single day and miss it more than I can possibly express. It’s where my heart has always been. I love that your smoking lounge in Jackson is where my hubs and I bought our first pipes and tobacco way back when. We didn’t know what the heck we were doing, and I laugh at our ignorance back then. I really got into the hobby for real about a year ago and it’s been a lot of fun. Thanks for all your informative and interesting videos. Your place in Moran is the stuff of dreams! It’s awesome how much you enjoy it there. I love snow and winter - the more snow the better was my motto 😊. Please enjoy your Teton view for me - I stood on top of it with my dad in August of 1983 - in a snowstorm no less. We did the class alpine Exum route which is a 5.7 if I remember correctly. A beautiful memory. God bless, Dave. Ellen

I will be praying for you every day, Dave for safe travels. Come to think of it I think the Lord for your friendship every day. I will just add safe travel to that prayer. This weekend I’m going to be layering up some more silver, thanks to your advice. It is absolutely breathtakingly, beautiful here. It’s in the low 40s. It’s funny as soon as it gets cold. It seems like everything starts breaking down. It would be a lot more convenient if it was nice and warm out. Lol starting last Sunday, I blew a spark plug out of my V 10 Ford excursion on the way to church. Then my golf cart battery died. Both of the terminal ends somebody had tightened the nut to the point of snapping the bolts off. I had to take a hacksaw and cut the remaining part of the bolt in half and then tap them out with a punch. Then I replaced them with stainless steel bolts. The automatic chicken door has blown a fuse every day, so I have to go out and open the man door to let the chickens out. Today I just realized that the batteries are not getting charged. And I still feel like I live like a king out here in the garden of Eden! I feel blessed that the Lord has given me a mind that I can fix all this stuff and a garage full of tools. You be careful on the highway. With studded snow tires you should be fine, it’s just the other people that you gotta watch out for. You have a blessed rest of your week. much love and respect.!
