48Hrs Sambar

Andy, an avid hunter from Austria, embarked on an incredible journey halfway around the world to Melbourne, Australia. With only 48 hours of free time before heading back home for Christmas with his family, he was determined to make the most of his limited window for a hunt.

With a combination of luck and the expertise of his guide, Andy set out on a thrilling adventure in pursuit of his first sambar deer.

Bolt-Action Productions yep that’s how it tends to go with the big boys. I thought I had the drop on him 3 months earlier. We seen him with two hinds feed in a gully from 400m. I got a shot video and started our stalk in, we got in to 200m but as we set up for a shot the wind swirled around and they were out of there. It’s nice when luck goes your way.

Great video Paul. Had to laugh at the difference in attitudes to hunting in Austria at a kindergarten of all places. Imagine doing that here at a kindergarten!!!! It would be on the news and the kids would be in safe places and getting trauma treatment. Lol
