Please for the first example.. Why is the 415 V the line voltage of a single line and not that of all the three lines
@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn
@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn 10 ай бұрын
Okay, you should take into account the kind of configuration, notice that In a start connection, the VL = VP * root (3) But in a delta connection VL = Vp

@@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn Please my worry is how do I know the voltage given in a question is a single line voltage and not that of all the three lines combined

@Luciusilver usually check the type of configuration,

In the last question the phase angle was lagging. Should this be denoted as -31.9 not 31.9 in the final answer?

We know that,for Y connected,Vline=√3 Vp

Hi.Does Zp has angle?
@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn
@SkanCityAcademy_SirJohn Жыл бұрын
Yes, Zp has an angle that is when there are either capacitive or inductive effects in the impedance. NB: if the impedance is only due to a resistor, then zp has zero angle. But we usually don't indicate angel for zp when we want to derive Ip but in a typical question you may have zp having an angle.
