I don’t think Jennings has watched any 49ers games if he thinks their defense is the problem. It’s scoring in the red zone and special teams! With any improvement there, like Mason hitting the hole where the blocking is, niners are 5-1! Defensively they could use Dre, but they are fine. Not amazing but fine. Fix special teams and or red zone and the defense isn’t an issue at all. So far anyway.

This wasn’t a real “domination”. We allowed them to comeback late(shocker), and only got the extra TD because we got a 75 yard run in the last minute of the game. I’m not proud of this performance. We need to learn how to close out games without needing a miracle run to save us

Nope. They aren’t. First, it’s the Seahawks who really aren’t good. Second, the niners problems are derived from a change in Kyle’s playcalling. Their offensive success for the last 6 years has been predicated on BullyBall and play action. He has started to remember the BullyBall lately but it is almost like he ripped every play action play from his playbook. I don’t know the exact # but it would be a very safe bet that he is calling play action less than half as much as he did in prior years? Why? No idea. His line isn’t THAT much improved from a pass pro perspective. Kyle gets his play calling back on track, then maybe. But until then, they are on track to watch the playoffs from home.
