If the Niners don't want the chance to win the NFC #1 overall seed (and the Super Bowl), then they should have Ronnie Bell on kick-offs and punt returns. In limited duty, Bell fumbled 3 times (he recovered 2 of the fumbles; the 3rd fumble went out of bounds).

um the consternation regarding Moody is valid because he missed a kick in every post season game including the SB that resulted in OT and the loss. Gould played for 18 years and never missed a post season kick.

Your first mistake was comparing an 18 year vet (who retired, so he wasn’t going to kick for the 49ers) to a rookie. Your second mistake was failing to mention that Moody’s FG percentage as a rookie was higher than Gould’s as a rookie

@@DavidLombardi Moody has a leg but he misses the big moment kicks like the 41 yrd that killed Purdys (almost)historic win streak, and maybe caused a 3 game loss because they were undefeated5-0 just like 2019 when they lost a sb. People want a kicker that doesn't miss in the playoffs so hopefully he does better this year or he can be pariah to alot of fans js

Moody was a ROOKIE kicker who will only get better, but has already made some big kicks in big moments (including setting a Super Bowl record) to help him build confidence. Calm down.

We’re so spoiled having Gould for so long, but look around the league at some of the kicking situations, we’re solid with Moody.
