Yo I'm not even mad or upset. The chiefs made the plays and the 49ers didn't. Nobody blocked Chris Jones on the 3rd and 4 and Wilks failed to cover Kelce on the last drive. It is what it is. Andy Reid is a much better coach than Kyle.

We're almost in 90's Bills territory, now. As a 49er fan since the Montana Era, this is very disappointing. We had no excuses. We have the more talented team; multiple pro bowlers,stingy Defense, 3 headed running back monster: CMC/Mitchell/Mason. The only things the Chiefs had going for them was Reid/Mahommes/Kelce....thats it, and they made it happen. WTF??? Purdy was good, but not elite, by any stretch of the imagination. The organization is going to have to, at some point, rethink, how they structure the team. It apparently, starts with having an elite level, QB. That's what it looks like🤔

Mahomes is just "it". People need to understand he's different. Never gets uptight, worried or panics. And Stags is a genius on defense. Look at the players the Chiefs drafting '22. They seem to have poor blocking schemes. The Chiefs are very methodical. Outside the Chiefs I've been a 49ers fan since 1981. At times they were so boring to watch because they didn't make mistakes & were precise on both offense and defense. And their defense POUNDED opponents. Remember the Chiefs defense set a NFL record by never allowing a team to score over 27 points. And remember they have the best cornerbacks in the NFL. The biggest problem the 49ers have is they never play against great quarterbacks. Teams can't make mistakes against the Chiefs where as Mahomes can make a mistake & overcome it. Chiefs play against Josh Allen, Joe Burrow & 2-4 other QB's in the AFC where as the NFC doesn't have that kind of quality.

We are fixin to see what Burroughs looks like when he loses some of his firepower! Mahomes is the only qb to win a superbowl (2 times) when his salary is taking 17 percent of the team cap. No QB who lost their Super Bowl debut ever went on to win a Super Bowl later in their career. Not sayin it's impossible, just really hard to do. I think Purdy played about as well as anyone could've expected in this situation. If we're currently seeing his "ceiling" (and I think we probably are) he's gonna struggle to beat the Pat Mahomes and Joe Burrows and Josh Allens of the world.

3 things that lost yall the game. Blocked extra point, muffed punt, got pass happy in the 3rd. Those were the 3 things that had they not happened l, there would have not been an overtime. Since you made it to overtime, you also messed up by receiving the ball! That sums it up!

Mahomes was contained for 1 minute shy of two quarters for the most part. What happened after that? IMHO, the coaching let them down. Things happen, adjustments HAVE to be made. What happened? Yes because the QB touches the ball every play. They have the most control over the game and when they have the ball, the opposing teams QB is on the bench. Brock didn’t lose the game, he just didn’t win the game either. The question is there really a difference. If you don’t make the plays to win the game then eventually the other team will and that’s precisely what happened last night.

I don't see this game as Mahomes beating us. Of course, that's the narrative bc it sounds good. This was a defensive game and for the most part 9ers beat themselves. Take away 1 of these plays, foot fumble, the cmc Fumble, a blitz that wasn't picked up on the td to JJ or Ayuik or even the blitz that wasn't picked up our last touch during regulation to basically burn the clock and seal the game. This game was lost on poor special teams and O play. Not Mahomes
