The right way to monitor the Brandon Aiyuk WR market, is to enjoy your summer.

If ayuik is signed and now Jennings is signed what role will your 1st round pick have??...could've took a tackle to replace trent Williams or a guard or center

Shanahan said Pearsall will primarily be utilized on special teams while he develops.

Aiyuk is overrated. He benefits from being in this offense. His only tough catches are the lady bug and his TD vs the Eagles Too many times where Purdy makes a play and Aiyuk can’t make the tough catch. There were plays in the Seahawks (we all remember that one) and Lions playoff games that real #1 WRs wouldn’t have dropped. Vikings game too, he half a$$ed on a great play from Purdy, but Aiyuk let it hit the ground. I also thought he played the ball awfully on the goal line ball that almost got picked in the Cowboys playoff game. He’s just not a real #1. Needs to make more tough catches

We care about APY bc it goes more with how much cap space is allocated to each player, not guarantees. You should focus more on APY like everyone else does.

This is incorrect. So I’ll continue focusing on what makes me correct while others are incorrect, thanks

@@DavidLombardi NFL players care about the APY. Just like when Trent signed with us, he passed Bakhtiari as highest paid tackle by $10,000 a year. So I will continue to go by that, thanks.

Hypothetically speaking: if a player holds out just long enough to accrue a season, could the team in turn not play him to not accrue the season? (I know no team would or should do this, I’m just curious about the rules)
@Wolfeson285 ай бұрын
If the situation were reversed, and we had a great O-line between but poor receivers, no one would be claiming that adding more O-linemen was the way to solve the receiving problem. Ultimately, if you want to improve a position group that underperformed, you have to make the big additions to THAT group. A lot of these arguments trying to justify the Niners not taking as big a swing at O-line as expected seem like somewhat disingenuous post facto justification.

The more I hear of Ricky tearing it up in OTAs, the more I believe Aiyuk is gone
@gregorioavalos12565 ай бұрын
Pay him 27, there are too many weapons that support his future. If there were more target requirements, then 30. Quite simply, this team will extend his longevity. Keep him and make him happy, this is just one opinion

What is the reason all the articles are saying Waddle is getting 76 million guaranteed?
@tomcrown695 ай бұрын
I have to agree. 76 million guaranteed to me means that’s what he will get paid. I full expect Brandon will want eighty million guaranteed or I don’t understand the reporting.

The big risk with underinvesting in the O line is getting your QB injured. The drop off after Brock is big. The 9ers under Shanahan have a habit of getting their QB knocked out.

Baller, who shouldn't be overpaid. That will hurt the team.
@matthewbecker65535 ай бұрын
The whole discussion about the OL honestly sounds like fabricated post-facto rationalization BS to try to justify to the fan base why they did almost nothing to address the cause for the eventual injury to Brock that seems inevitable given that they don't care whether he gets hit hard or not. Having lots of weapons does provide on an any-given-play analysis a different way of avoiding the sack and loss of yards. But the other (more natural) way of avoiding the sack is to provide the QB with an extra 1 second to get rid of the ball - and to similarly have fewer times that an unblocked DL is able to slam your QB just after the release of the throw. Then you get to the "punt return" issue... How can you describe what happened at the SB as unlucky with regard to Luter? Or Ray Ray? Luter should have been COACHED to look for where the ball was coming down and stay clear unless he was trying to catch it. And Ray Ray should have been COACHED to dive on the ball instead of wanting to be a hero by trying to pick it up and run. Two massive mistakes on that play that showed either not knowing what to do or a total lack of discipline... That was a COACHING disaster. Why the heck the special teams coach still has a job is beyond me. And if it really was "well coached" and two separate players just made utterly stupid and undisciplined plays on the same exact play? Then the 49ers coaching staff should have CUT them from the team in the middle of the game on the spot. And they still should have fired the S.T. coach within minutes after the end of that game.
