This game got me into American Football. As a lifelong (what I would then call) Restoftheworld Football fan from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I happened to be in the US for work and thought: 'ah well, let's give this a shot when I'm here anyway'. Absolutely loved the game and the whole spectacle around it. I've been hooked to NFL ever since. What a great sport! It is funny to re-watch this now, as back then I didn't understand too much about the game and just now I realize how much more there is to like once you understand the sport better.

My grandad and I have always been big Chiefs fans, growing up just south of KC. Before moving to college, I’d be over at my grandparents’ place almost every Sunday for game day. Those were the tough times, but my grandparents and I always had a good time with each other. When I moved to college, the chiefs started getting better and better. How I wished I had been home, watching those winning games with him. I remember when we made it to the Super Bowl in 2020, and how we both were just overjoyed and almost in tears. “One more game” we told each other. During SB 2020, I wasn’t able to be home due to school and work, but I told him I’d call him after the game to discuss how it went. When the chiefs won, I called him and we were both crying on the phone, we’d been through so much, and this was all worth it. I managed to get some time off to go to the parade with him, and we spent the whole day among many who felt the same way as us. It was a day I’ll never forget. 2021 season rolls around, and we both had high hopes for the Chiefs, which they delivered on. During the post season, I lost my grandad to a sudden accident. Every game hurt to watch without him, and especially SB 2021. I miss him so much, but he always loved this team. I watch this video again and again to re-live that moment that we shared, and how I’d do anything to have it back.

I skew more towards the chiefs but think the 49ers are a great team I thought that 19-20' was pretty good, I think this 23-24 49er team is even better. Should be a good game. Hope its a close one either way. I think Purdy could succeed where Garoppolo has failed. Mostert, Wilson, and Coleman were quite the three headed monster. I think McCaffrey is that bottled into one. Looking back at these highlights, its crazy how few players are still on either team that played in that game. Good luck and good health to your team. Reid got out of his own way. Great offense mind. Sometimes he can't delegate and trust his other coaches. Chiefs D picked the ball instead of dropping ints like last year. The San Diego game, 2nd game at Arrowhead was a travesty for Reid. They are going for 2, 15 or less seconds on the clock, chiefs have a time out. When you see San Diego or La Chargers, wherever those goofy Californians play now, formation to go for 2 to win the game in the Chiefs home stadium. Which is the rule by the way, go for the win in regulation, on the road, play for overtime at home. Reid.... doesn't use his timeout. Why? There is only one answer......confusion among the leaders, ie coaching staff. Not on scandrick or the players. On Reid Alone..... Call timeout, yes they will probably change the play, meaning the Chargers. That's ok, the timeout is to settle your players and get them focused on what the chargers coaches may call. That is what coaches and leaders are paid to do. Make the right decisions in critical moments. Regardless, l can't tell you how happy l am for the KC Chiefs, their fans, and Andy Reid himself. The man is a loyal fighter who keeps on trying. That, in itself, is all any of us can do. Congrats Andy, Clark, and the whole Chiefs organization. The City of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas and the rest of Chiefs Kingdom..... We Salute You....... Chieeeeeeeefffffffsssssssss!!!!!!! Rest easy KC it finally happened.
