Thanks Mark for forcing Colin to listen to reason. Aiyuk is so good and most of voices on the air don’t even watch closely or actually try to get things correct. It’s great hearing someone know what they are talking about and be respectful and honest over taking a stance. Such great insights all around. When Mark comes in it’s always one of my favorite segments. Great guy. I’m a USC fan and ultimately, I think Mark could have benefited from one more year of college. But that’s a long time ago. I was actually surprised when he said that Stafford came out in the same draft. Remember those Jets teams as being tough, but Rex is tough to play for - as his record shows. You wonder what Mark would have been like if he went to play for Kyle or Andy. Anyway, great segment.

Mark’s analogies are indeed helpful, but Brandon Aiyuk brings an additional dynamic to the table. A certain kind of fierceness when he is on the field that has a greater impact than just his role as a receiver. As an illustration, I refer to McCaffrey’s 70+ yard run last year wherein Aiyuk flattened two defenders, paving the way for the touchdown. That play affected the entire team, and set the tone not only for the rest of that game, but beyond!

Liked Marks perspective on this. On the win part, he definitely does. After the SB in the end of season interview he literally said emotionally that he wants to be a champion. He does want to be paid like a #1 but not take the highest bidder cause winning is part of it. Devante Adams is an example at this point.
