@@DavidWilliams-hl2zc I know he's not. He gets threw his progressions so quickly. His pre snap reads are very good, both him and Kyle. Kyle just seems to call the right plays to attack certain coverages. The only thing we lacked I the three games he played was guys were just not healthy or too inexperienced to beat man. Had a lot of small receivers a few have bulked up. The only time I say him make mistakes when teams did go man on us and we couldn't get anyone open, or in zone and receivers don't sit in their zone. I think Weller will help fix that.

The only reason we had a bad standing last year was because the 49ers last year didn't have that good of a deffense, last year we relied heavily on the offense but when McKinnon got injured and Garoppolo went down too everything fell apart, however that did give open up opportunities for guys like Nick Mullens,Matt Breida,George Kittle, Fred Warner (release of Reuben Foster). These guys have developed a lot, especially for George Kittle and Fred Warner, Warner ended the year leading the 49ers deffense in tackles, 3rd most tackles by a middle linebacker last season trailing only Bobby Wagner, and Luke Kuechly (both veterans) that is major growth for a 3rd ROUND PICK Warner has a lot of potential and pair him up this season with Kwon Alexander and he will have a lot to learn from the 4 year veteran. George Kittle, we already know what happened, most recieving yards by a tight end in a single season. And our secondary, Richard Sherman the beast and Jason Verrett, Verrett when healthy, is easily a top 10 CB, dont forget the fact that if the Niners will execute a trade down with the Giants or Raiders they will end up with 2 first round picks, 1st pick will be used on a guy like Josh Allen, Quinnen Williams or Nick Bosa, the second 1st round pick can be used on a WR,CB or Safety. This upcoming draft has a lot of deffensive talent which is what we need. In my honest opinion if everything is done right the 49ers new dynasty can start this season or the next, and if the young guys we get from the draft develop well this season we can even be in the conversation of "who will de-throne the Rams" in the division.

The nice thing is we have a team friendly contract. So Jimmy went from making 42 million last year to 19 mil this year. We are in a great spot to fill a lot of holes this draft.

We need him to be above average - meaning better than what we saw last season. Make quick reads, checkdown if needed, scramble to the sidelines rather than run. Mullens out-performed him in my eyes. He needs to prove he's as good as everyone says he is OR we need to refocus with Mullens.
