Don’t forget…this negotiation is a two way street…Lynch and the 9ers could very well have sent invitations for contract talks, and if Purdy’s side sits on their hands, where does that leave the 9ers….if Purdy wants the deal done, then he’ll direct his agent to get it done…the 9ers have learned their lesson with holdouts after the Aiyuk scenario…

Hurts has the best OLine in the NFL, with AJ Brown and Devante Smith as wide receivers He’s thrown for 2093 yards and 18 TD’s this year so far. That puts him at 21st in passing yards and 21st in TD passes. Barkley has really masked his weaknesses this season.

I think its funny people claim there are QBs who can carry a bad team and cite Mahomes. But Mahomes has the best defense in football, and the best coach. The Chiefs are so good, that Mahomes literally doesn’t throw further than 15 yards all game. Watching the last 2 Chiefs games, I feel 10 other QBs could do what Mahomes is doing. Allen definitely had to drag his team more than most. But still beat the Ravens by just handing the ball to James Cook all game. Threw for 130 yards or something small. There is no QB who can win a game all by himself. Burrow was the best QB all year but had a horrific defense. But he was throwing to 2 all pro receivers and had an elite running back.

Chase the 49ers have done a great job stock piling talent; they sadly do invest in the o-line with a premium picks; maybe not a ton but they have tried every year; except players mostly busted compared to draft position. Mike Mglinchy; 1st round (average player, as I wanted Nelson but wasn’t available, big Mike was projected to be better). Aaron Banks; 2nd round (sadly regressed last two years) Dominic Puni; 3rd rounder (hit, stud) Colton McKivitz; 4th round (average starter)

Pertaining to draft picks, I’m clearly stating that all though the 49ers haven’t been dominant sure fire hits; they have address the o-line quiet decently over the last six years. Drafting four players in the first four rounds are quality picks; although Colton was a 5th, not a 4th, but you catch my drift. Drafting is a difficult process, all true fans know this; but with current salary cap and parity rules, it’s difficult to field the same roster each season. The unofficial rule of thumb is if you come away with two starters from each draft, the draft class is deemed a success. The 49ers haven’t been very lucky when it comes to the first two rounds drafting top 64 spots of each draft. Although in the latter rounds, they have exceeded expectations leaps and bounds above the rest of the league; and that’s been the key to their success and field a championship worthy team. With the 49ers drafting several o-lineman the last five years in the first five rounds; as well as the FA signed or traded for in the last five years, isn’t ignoring the line. Now, not calling the o-line top priority, I’ll agree with; but not Chases comment that the 49ers, John and Kyla neglected the line; signing Alex Mack, trading for TW, drafting Puni, Banks, Mike, Colton over the last six years is trying to fix the issues. This year, we are going to draft heavily on the o-line and d-line, you can mark me on that; as Brock will sign for 50M plus it looks like; and this assets you protect.

With his current contract, the front office has refused to get the OL we need. Middle of the NFL last year and in the end, a blown block eog blew the season up. This year is got Purdy hurt. Why they don't, have never prioritized the OL is beyond me. Just my guess, $55m with a guarantee to set him up.

Brock isn’t going cheap. He’s the all time leader in yards per attempt in NFL history. Pro Bowl and Super Bowl on his rookie deal. If the 9ers don’t want him, trade him and recoup the Trey Lance picks. He was 7th in QBR this year with no CMC or Aiyuk and injuries everywhere, a shit defense, the worst special teams in the league and a shot in the chest 1st round pick.
