The ratios is long at 1st thought it was a twincam box. Had the exact same setup a few years back and the weight does help put the power down. Got a conquest again will do again the same setup once I get a daily

The 4AG is the best NA 1.6 liter in history. No other engine can withstand bouncing off the tach after so long without losing compression. Maybe it’s the iron block or Yamaha top. Regardless it is to be admired from it’s inception to date. Owned hundreds and anything 4AG is hard letting go. PPV Caprice stock for stock might out accelerate but when you think it’s practically a 1/4 of the engine with primitive efi and the AE chassis is only bested by a 911. Power is great, but the ability to hold the power is greater..

Also, just an observation… the ferrite cores are meant to reduce electromagnetic interference from data lines and cables operating at high frequencies. Since there’s no data being passed through a plug lead, just power, there’s very little need for it.

The character of the engine will die turbos sometimes take out the character imsure if you turbo it the bounce of the limiter will not he the same and won't sound as good

You don't drive the 4age like a Honda engine. Or hold it at red line the main bearings are the week point of that engine. It sounds nice but don't act stupid like the "Honda kids" other than that nice little fxae93

That's all on what type of oil you use and how frequent you replace the oil and oil filter. Never ran a knock and I hammer it daily.
