7A’s rev just as high as a 4A, Barry Manon has a 7A block in his race car lol. They are better for low end torque and can do everything a 4age can do.

BGRS crew can give you a better rebuttal, but from what I understand, stock 7A bottom end does not like to rev due to piston speed/rod ratio? Of course aftermarket components solves this.

CM Autohaus Rolla Chriz on here did some testing on the stock bottom pushing it to the max. They can rev like the 4age and can handle up to 250hp on the stock pistons and rods. The myth about them not liking to rev was from not correcting the cam timing when you build the 7AGE.

I was looking to buy the 1.8L Stroker Kit for my stock 1988 Toyota Corolla GTS sometime next year According to the BattleGarageRS website, I have to make modifications to the block What would I need to do? This is the first time I have ever done an engine rebuild. Should I take my engine to a machine shop?

The bottom of the piston bores need to be clearance out so the longer stroke rods will clear. Ideally you would take it to a shop familiar with 4AGEs and installing stroker kits. support@battlegarage-rs.com will get you more specific answers

What were the real world results to this kit? Do you know of someone who has actually built one. Was the one in this video used in someones setup? I would love to see the results of this kit.

This kit went to an overseas seller. Someone in NZ or in the MRP camp would be better to ask.

@@CMAutohaus I am already speaking to Barry from MRP but I would like to hear an unbiased view or results of these kits. It's a lot of money to spend especially if it doesnt have considerable gains over the stock 4a crank.

@@matthewbussy Hey honest dollar for dollar horsepower stroker is a poor choice. IMO stroker is for those trying to extract the last bit of power like the MRP 1.9L car. By far, engine swap and forced induction are better dollar for dollar power gain options

@@CMAutohaus well I am already making 230hp from my stock crank 4age setup, you can see this on my channel. What I want to know is if I gain that extra displacement will I gain that extra power provided rod/stroke is good etc. If I could make 230hp on the 1.6L can I make 260 to 270hp on the 1.8L or 1.9L setups...

damn 3400??? that's expensive, i would boosted and keep the boost at 9 psi to keep it safe and problaly make the same power and as safe and cheaper.
@CMAutohaus
@CMAutohaus 5 жыл бұрын
Stroker is definitely a big investment! The advantage is the low end torque. This stroker kit also allows you to comfortably and reliably rev like a 4AG should as compared to a standard 7A block.

@@CMAutohaus agree 100% but you better have a deep pocket. i always prefer NA power over boosted power cause u get ur power right out of the gate.

An Trinh NA you only make good power in the power band so like 5000+ RPM unlike a turbo

You are ridiculous. Do you realize if you do not support specialty shops, pricing, availability, reproduction parts, everything for you chassis will go to shit. Look at the DSM and Alfa Romero market. Its because everyone said things were "a rip off" or "too expensive"
