Thinking about where everything went wrong in your life would be my guess, just from the lyrics, and not being able to sleep cause your brain is overthinking everything. When things are upsetting us we tend to sleep a lot less and once you get to the early hours your brain gets tired and so you become hypersensitive to everything and over analytical. Around 4 in the morning is when most people with depression wake up and have an episode of dark thoughts too.

I think it has multiple meanings, like it could be about someone that has everything they dreamed of but feels disconnected. It could be about someone that is losing everything whilst pursuing something they want. That's just my scope anyway, I'd love to hear other points of view

@@galaxandavlogs2700 wow, you hot the nail on the head about waking at the 4 a.m. hour. Why is that? I read that's when our body is focused on the lungs and we breathe so heavily during that phase of sleep that we wake ourselves up and then feel awful. Who knows? But it's TRUE. Luckily it's been a very long time since I was waking at 4 a.m. but nice to see someone gets it.
