My hair routine is : nothing...I'm so lazy 😧 and yet my hair are the same length as ronke(after 2 years big chop) so I think genetics play a lot and also not doing the most for me

So great... I actually realized that, taking care of your hair weekly or bi-weekly, moisturizing while in a protective style and having a routine is actually what people complain about and say is stress... 😁 Imagine the care is the pain... We are just used to making the hair and putting it away... 😘 Good day everyone!

Yep. We are used to neglecting and mistreating our hair. Now that we have tocare of it, it suddenly became a chore

Shea butter makes my hair GROW. More than castor oil, more than coconut oil... I usually apply it after I dry my hair with a cotton tshirt, when it's not completely dry. Amazing! I 💕💕💕

I think it's difficult when people keep manipulating their curl pattern n not just "being natural". It's okay to not be sleeked down, twisted out etc

Ms Phasha honestly, if i dont stretch my hair, i got a ton of single strand knots and detangling is horrible

My hair is a tighter type 4 with high porosity and a complete intolerance foe any coconut. There exists many shampoos that are okay to use with natural hair and won’t be too stripping. My favorite line is Product Junkie Naturals-a completely coconut-free small-batch natural hair line- with their Fresh Start shampoo. The biggest con is that their shipping takes forever tho so I usually use Creme of nature or Cantu shampoos that don’t have coconut. No matter what leavin conditioner and styler I use, I always seal with Shea butter. If I don’t have any other shampoo sometimes I make my own African black soap shampoo too and add essential oils and some moisturizing carrier oils and that works great for me. I twist or braid after moisturizing so that my hair stays detangled.

To f/u on the dandruff question, i realized over time that my hair is extremely dry and needs moisture even though i wear my hair in braids 95% of the time. I stopped shampooing my hair cause it strips moisture (i used to use ausiee moist shampoo) and i just co-wash instead and use products w/ ACV as leave in treatment w/ castor oil then cantu shea braids cream thing then f/u w/ daily moisturizing w/ shea butter.

Them braids if they are done with synthetic hair will dry out your hair no matter what you do!

Thats alright then, if you live in an area with hard water then DO NOT spritz your hair with it throughout the week and avoid coconut oil if you have low porosity hair as it has protein which makes the hair feel hard, dry and brittle...........just some tips

When you say you braids do you mean cornrows under the wig and you take them out on wash your weekly or do you mean box braids(long term protective styling)?
@Royal.ije.4 жыл бұрын
U can actually braid your natural hair... I wear like 8 single braids under my wig most times, when I don't have the strength for cornrows...
@kehinderowland62324 жыл бұрын
Isiakpona Ijeoma ahh okay makes sense, I don’t really wear wigs so I’m wondering if box braids can be worn 8 weeks straight without too much breakage during the take down

If you're mostly on wigs or weaves or braids and also if your hair is not so hard and tight and looks like sponge bob, then natural hair will be easy.
