I have one of those random moments I will never forget. I was around ten or eleven, on vacation with my family in Italy. We were walking by the beachfront, past all these rows of large, rectangular flower pots. Bees were flying from flower to flower, collecting nectar. I watched this one bee and thought, out of nowhere: "This bee is one of millions. It is inconsequential to my life. I will never see this bee again. I will never think of this bee again." Turns out that flipped some kind of switch in my brain. Eighteen years has passed and I still think about that bee from time to time. I hope it lived a happy life.

My forced memory took place when I was in elementary school. It was a beautiful day and I went under this one tree and isolated myself from other children. I looked at my school and just stared at the entrance and looked at the grass and the winding loop for parent drop off and I looked at the gate from the second entrance of the school. There was a large cement square in the school itself that was a time capsule from 1942 I believe and I’m unsure if they ever opened it. I remember thinking something like “when I’m an adult and done so many things, I’ll remember this moment” I’m almost 30 and I still remember it and often dream about that part of school. I wanted myself to remember myself as a child and not forget who I used to be. I thank my young self for that memory all the time.

I discovered that we weren't taking the swing set out back. The one about the trail is something I can relate to alot. I have a trail much like the one described in this video close to my house. My house is in the woods and if you walk down its road for enough time you will be on top of a "bridge" (more like a mound) and underneath there is a trail like the one in the video. There are no trails that directly lead to the trail from the raod but if you are careful enough you can walk down its side / hill and you will be right in the middle of the trail with the "cave" (or tunnel because the road up top goes over it) behind you. If you walk straight its nothing but woods on both sides and eventually you will come to a clearing with some porta-potties and a gravel parking lot (since this is where your supposed to start the trail, but its a few miles out from my house so I start near my road). Pass that its more woods and a few dirt trails that branch off from the main concrete trail. You keep going straight and eventually hit a bridge that goes over our towns river. I usually walk from my house to that river and then back. Its a lenghty walk, about and hour there and back. I walk on that trail somewhat often, maybe 1-2 times a week. I usually go by myself at night or with friends (have to pick them up first since they live even further from the trail) Personally I never had anyone stock me (as far as I know) but I know exactly what the man in the video was describing, that feeling that THIS would be the best time for someone to pop out of the woods / trail and kill you without a second thought. I always get that feeling even though I know im safe. However, the same cannot be said about my friend who ill call Trevor. Trevor and I have been friends for a long time, since middleschool. Are relationship (friendship) has been on and off for a while now for numerous reasons. But while our friendship was good a few years back, I remember it being my sisters birthday at our place and it was just me, her, and our dogs (parents were out that night). Since my sister was also friends with Trevor we decided to have him over to hang out and spend the night. Both of us could technically drive but neither of us had our own cars nor did we have our licens. So, we told Trevor he 'could' come over and stay the night but he would have to walk on the trail to get here since he too didnt have a license or car. It wouldnt be that bad of a walk since he wasnt at his parents house that night that was really really far from our house, but visiting a friend (mostlikely smoking pot or something like that) in our own town. So when he heard us say that, he was very happy to hang out with us and he messaged us on Discord that we was going to start coming our way. After around 30 minutes we hear a loud constant banging on our door and it scares the shit out of us. We both go to the door and I look through the door's hole and see Trevor banging on our door yelling at us to open up. We unlock the door and he quickly runs into our recreational room (the first room once you enter our house). He has this wide-eyed look, whole body shaking, and is drenched in sweat. I asked him what the hell happened and why he was so upset but he didnt answer me. He just pulled a chair and caught his breathe before telling us what happened. This might not be word for word since its been a few years or more since this happened, but he said something like, "About 10-15 minutes after I left my friends house I passed this old looking dude with baggy clothes and a jacket who was just sitting next to presumably his bike. I just noded at him and I kept walking. About a minute later I hear someone peddeling on a bike behind me, I assume maybe its some random biker or that old dude. I look behind me and its the old guy on his bike but when he notices that I noticed him, he gets off his bike and goes back to just sitting near it. I look foward and keep walking thinking either this guy is stalking me or hes just catching his breathe. I keep walking and around that time I hear someone biking again, I look back and sure enough its that old guy again and when he notices me looking behind my back, he gets off his bike and sits next to it. At this point I know something is fucked up so I make a dash for your guys (me and my sister) hill to get up on top of your street." He says then that while he was running dead sprint he could hear that old guy bicking again and this time when he looked back he couldnt see him since at a certain point on our trail it sorta loops (not a full loop around but the trail stops being straight and becomes curved). He knew he was not that far behind him and he just kept running. He said when he was on that curve he decided to hide into the woods since he couldnt see the guy and he assumed that the biker couldnt see him as well, so he would hide in the woods and let the old guy pass him. When he did, the old guy on the bike did pass him and after some time Trevor couldnt hear the biker anymore. Around that time he did text me and my sister, but neither of us were on our phones, so we didnt see any of the messages until after. On our phone he told us that some old guy on a bike was stalking him and that for the past few minutes hes been running and running and was going to get to our place as soon as possible. Again, neither of us saw the text until after. When he was done explaning everything to us we were just shocked and also confused since nothing like this has ever happened to us, or anything like that in our town before (our town has around 2500-3000 people). We told him that it was going to be okay, we got him some Diet Coke and just hung out the rest of the time eating food and watching netflix. I remember him still being shook up about it and texting his Mom. I cant remember if he stood the night or not, or if his mom got him, but hes still with us and alive. Im not sure if maybe he was on drugs like weed or something like that but it shook me up as well. Trevor, my sister, and I still all go onto the trail together or seperatly even after this and none of us have seen that old guy on his bike. Dunno if it was BS what he said but I doubt it, I'm just happy hes okay. Not gonna go back and fix my spelling mistakes since I dont really care. Im now even more parionoied when im on the trail, especially when I go alone, but I dont let that stop me since I usually carry a pocket knife with me anyways, and I suggest everyone dose for their own saftey because if my friend didnt hide in the woods near that cruve in the trail like he did, he might not be around with us.

I think a lot of people do the "willful memory" thing, I think a lot of people are quite a bit more similar than we really know, and most of us all have some very similar and relatable habits especially as kids. I know lots of other kids had the imaginary dude running alongside the car during road trips, leaping over signs and obstacles. My imaginary running guy looked like that obscure comic book character "The Maxx". I've consciously locked away memories in my life at certain moments both significant and mundane and it really works I still remember them all. One of them was when I was 15 and I was sitting on the ground petting my dog. I thought, I will always remember this exact moment of looking at my cute little dog. I knew that some day I would be grown up and my best friend would be long gone, and I wanted to preserve what felt like a perfect slice of time. I can still recall that very moment and others like it perfectly. Granted, I have really good memory anyway, but it definitely makes a pretty big difference when you consciously pull yourself out of autopilot to focus on committing something to memory.

For the memory one, I swore to never forgive a teacher for making me give some of my play doe to the other kids because mine was rolled out and looked bigger so I was accused of taking some from the others (I was the first to finish my work and be aloud to go play) when I was 5 or 6. Even the small derail of thinking she was stupid. I dont have many memories of most of my life, but 15 years later, I've never forgotten that

For that last one about memories I remember sitting at like 10:00 pm in my car with my dad in the parking lot at the 99 cents store. I was staring at the wall in front of us on between conversations and just thought. “ I’m never gonna forget this . I was in middle school at that time and am currently in my mid twenties . I just assumed it was a part of my OCD

I'll never forget being 3 years old, wearing overalls and a red shirt, walking down the hallway to the living room, and I stop and think to myself "well I guess this is all real" or something to that effect. The thought didn't have words, just more of an emotional vibe like "well I guess I exist now."

you know how ppl say your life flashes before your eyes when you die? sometimes i feel like im not actually experiencing this moment, im just remembering this moment happening. the quantum immortality theory also ruined my life when i first found out about it. my anxiety really likes clinging onto things that currently cannot be proven.

As funny as the last one would be if we had an inbuilt Telltale "I will remember this" mechanic, it's most likely just survivorship bias. The memories of us thinking "I will remember this" that survive will go on to spook us, while those that were forgotten won't be counted because, well, nobody will be there to remember it.

I have that exact tool shown in the ”dubs decide what I do” and its not even nearly sharp enough to cut off a toe. The axe is so dull that you would have to apply a lot of force to a strike to even penetrate the skin.

My first assumption of the first image was a vulture. They can get a bit big and it looks like it has one wing somewhat outstretched at an odd angle. Whatever it was, it probably was some sort of wildlife.

I don't remember a lot from when I was younger, I have a kind of sucky memory in general, but I have a really clear memory of standing in the kitchen with my mother when I was 4 and asking her how old I was that day.

Okay, I'm 1 min in and I don't see a creature, I see someone doing some funky drag drop with their arse in the air.

I really dig the Stalker story. It’s a spooky story but it’s so plain and told straight that it feels really real. I could easily see some weirdo just hanging out and turning into a X story.
