4D3N at The Amazing Maliau Basin of Sabah / iPhone 13

Finally got a chance to go to the ancient forest of Maliau Basin.
4D3N of an extremely tiring hiking, yet i do not regret it. It is worth it, made plain on the video as you shall see.
I am sad that Fiona could not make it this time around due to her illness, but we made a promise to come again someday.
To those who are planning on coming here, best be prepared.
Train your body well, have a good rest and most importantly of all toughen up your mentality, cause you will be needing it most especially on the latter part of the trip.

Amazing video! Maliau Basin beautifully captured. And I'm so impressed with the quality of footage on the iphone. So tempted to get one. Lol

Haha it is quite convinient than lugging another camera around. And suprisingly if you put the phone on low power mode and airplane mode, the battery last a whole day. Never needed to topup the phone so far until i sleep. Though there is some decrease in quality, especially coming from mirrorless system

Hi, if i am not mistaken, we book directly with Yayasan Sabah. However, to make it easier, there is a few agency out there than will handle all of that hassle for you. I recently went on a different trip with Oobah Venture. They are quite good and they do organise trip to Maliau Basin as well. You can check them out.
