Chant of Selflessness is the one that I feel best represents its character, but this one feels the most like a song being used to call upon the spirit of Applejack and her Honesty to protect the land once more if that makes sense it probably doesn't but anyway... Namii's vocals really add something special to the song. Now just waiting for Chant of Allegiance to hit KZbin so I can put it on all of my playlists :D

This chant is strange to me. At first I thought it was good but compared to Benevolence and Selflessness it was just "OK." Then I'm struck by the desire to listen to it one night and the beautiful lines describing the scene leap out at me. Again 3 months later I listen to it and this time the high notes and your voice nearly brought me to tears for some reason. I wrote this to let you know that your work is appreciated. Thank you.

Are you having a rough time? Or perhaps becoming jaded? I find that concentrating on the meaning of the lyrics of a deep song like this, is most likely to trigger an emotional reaction. It's never been consistent though. Have you had time decompress from stress without distraction? I don't know enough about your situation to evaluate whether I have helpful advice to give, or if you even want any. Or if you even need any advice. I myself am not generally prone to strong emotional reactions. I think I'm a bit below average in that regard, actually. I do have a strong tendency to be verbose in my comments, and I've been trying to rein that in lately. So if you want to know something that you think I would know, please ask, because normally I write very large comments in an attempt to cover all of the questions I can imagine someone being likely to ask me, as well as progressively deeper tangents on my original topic.

I want there to be a story that connects these songs, so badly. Best I could come up with is the female voice was Twilight, searching for her friends, who have all disappeared mysteriously. "I'll be waiting reverently . Underneath the apple tree. Pondering on what we're all to be." The mystery would no doubt revolve around the mane 5 ascending to some higher form of their elements, but this has taken them far away from each other, and Twilight is trying to discover this and bring them back.

@@4everfreebrony That makes sense. Looking at the Chant of Mirth, a story where they'd all ascended out of the world and have become stuck seems plausible. "I am lost, but am free of the world . For outside, all is bleak, all is cold." The Chant of Immortality speaks of loneliness and recalling the past, presumably when Twilight's friends were there. You could read the story of the elements going to heaven and becoming pure versions of themselves, but are lonely until Twilight comes to reunite them: "It is ponderous, willing to know my fate . In its longest lingering while to wait. I'm not ready, ready to let them go." Someone should really make a video analyzing these songs, Game Theory style. An alternate story is that Twilight has to rescue the elements from these higher planes they've ascended to. Either one is quite touching and beautiful. Thank you for your reply. I hope this theory was interesting.

I know and I'm going to buy one, but I would love it if they were like the princewhateverer did, since this album you made is not just music, it is a work of art (in every sense of the word) and for me the best album of 2019 and one of the best of the decade, I wish that the physical edition is not so simple, that it be like a digipack with a book of lyrics of the songs and their respective arts (like the one that his princewhateverer in his album reimagine) I would pay whatever it is to have one, it would be great, since as I said (and I don't like to do it) this album deserves a limited edition luxury physical edition (like 100 units or 50 yo qur hahaha), since it is not any album, is your best album and the best of 2019 (in my opinion) and proof that songs can also become a great form of art, if you kickstarter this album I would buy up to 2 of this album , but in the end it would be a dream come true. I've re-joined the fandom again after roughly 10 years and only now am really, really getting into it. I just saw this posted at tumblr and can't describe how it made me feel upon hearing it. It's like the singing immediately lulled me in and send an enormous wave of emotions over me. It's like everything good and sad rushed over me. Like a precious memory of a passed loved one resurfacing. I'm still crying while writing this, but I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in ... possibly years.
