Another great episode. It was kind of cool to see Mike just be honest and say he didn't like something. Ironically, it was Marbin, and Dani from Marbin was the last guy on here to do that. Not ripping stuff, just admitting it wasn't for him. I love the honesty from everyone, no ass kissing involved.

Good show as always good to see Mike again. Re Mr Motaba for those who are not aware check out Cuca Teixeira he has his own releases as well. Check out Groove Reunion and he is also on an album by Kiko Loureiro guitarist - The guitarist Sandro Haick- has some interesting stuff too . He is on an album by Pepe Cisneros-called Reunion and they go quite out on it really good stuff.Label is SHT/CMA Digital Music. Cheers guys good work.

Big fan of this letter of the alphabet selection of bands, similar to In the Prog Seat last year. Nice variety of music to analyze and explore or re-explore. It got me to grab the Lost Trident Sessions off the shelf.

I haven't heard the Marutyri. I listened to the Marbin once, but luckily saw them years ago in a bar with about 10 people. I will go with the MVP at 1 and the MO at 2. I found the MVP 30 years ago in a cutout bin. Haven't seen another copy since. I have never come across the second MVP.

Take this with a gain of salt. I'm no expert. 4) Marbin - Dirty Horse This band must be the jazz fusion version of the Grateful Dead. Also, "World of Computers, Pt. 1" sounds like "The Rainbow Connection" For this I must deduct a few(many) points even though they're awesome musicians. 3) MVP - Truth in Shredding This could be my #1. Has everything I like. Allan Holdsworth, Frank Gambale. Lots of guitars. The only thing missing are the songs. Maybe after a few more listens. 2) Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Lost Trident Sessions This should be my #1. I don't think I have to say much. The opening song "Dream" just obliterates. Maybe it goes a little down hill from there, but not much. Trilogy still crushes. John's Song #2 is a great ender. 1) Marutryi - Inner Movements This one surprised me. Every listen I come to love this more and more. The intro grabbed me immediately and the title track. "Kale" might be my favorite track on the album blending horns and guitar. The melody/riff has been stuck in my head for days. This is awesome.
