I'm glad it finally works! very good idea! I think I'll do something similar in my next prototype!

Brilliant idea, keeping the inside bone dry was the biggest problem I faced with the original M-Jet , I ended up using hatch tape in the end. I might revisit the build and try to retrofit something similar! Thanks! 👍

Nice design. I like this format. Keep your videos about 5 minutes and no longer than 10. That way I can watch a while video when I have a break.

Stéphân this is a great solution that undoubtedly will save the required weight. First questions I have is how does the material handle motionfatigue?
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the TPU? I dont know yet. But I can print a new one once needed. Also it is transparent white so should not be getting too hot in the sun

@@mjetdevelopment excellent design addition! Do you think the intergraded flexible bead design can be made even smaller in cross-section to save even more weight?
@hjl40042 жыл бұрын
How about a hollow bead design? Would that be possible?
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
@@hjl4004 Yes. I think even lighter and smaller profile design could be possible. I decided to go with this because I still like some rigidity, and the worst thing that could happen would be if the part glued in the boat broke. That would be a very hard repair because the surface needs to be accurate in order to seal

Your comment on the video where you used the old hull to test the m jet 35 you said you'd be making a longer 50cm hull, is this one 50cm or is it the 39cm m sprint? Was thinking about printing one in anticipation for your m jet 35 but I'll wait for the new hull design if that is coming later down the road.
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
This is the one, 50cm. I am not planning to design a 3D printable 50cm hull though, things get quite heavy at this size if the hull itself is 3D printed. But I will release the mould files for this hull, together with other things I used to build it. So that anyone can build this hull like I do.
@arm_fpv4122 жыл бұрын
@@mjetdevelopment Ah ok awesome would it be reasonable you think to use fiberglass instead of carbon fiber to keep cost down?
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
@@arm_fpv412 Totally yes. I used fibreglass multiple times before, it is a great option. It is just a bit more flexible, so you need more layers and thickness to make the hull stiff enough, which results in more weight. That is why I use carbon fiber now.

I have already prepared the carbon fiber, resin and everything needed to make a new model of the best jet I have ever seen. I am really waiting for you to post the files to make a new version of the detu like yours

Wow! Do you mean files for the hull? I will definitely share the hull files, I could do it quite soon even if my boat is not complete yet. I am glad you like the M-Jet 35! It will still take quite some time though before the small production of the pump will be ready.
